This the first time I ever saw someone pet the fish and tell the fish what job they did. I just subscribed this morning-I’m hooked!

Fishing in the UK is so different and the fish are so limited. We can catch the Atlantic mackerel, which are a beautiful eating fish. I am green with envy to see an angler who is so blessed. Take care and tight lines.

My Pawpaw taught me the easiest way to clean a fish was to hang it up and wipe it's tail !! He would always say that I didn't catch the fish ,,, the hook did ! As soon as I was old enough to understand and do as I was told we were fishing in the Chattahoochee River or Osanippa Creek . As I got older we would be trolling for bass in Lake Hardin also known as the Back Water by locals . That's when I got acquainted with Pflueger Supreme Cub reels , Black braided line and Bomber lures ! I have 4 of his rod and reel set-ups and 123 Bomber Bait company lures ,,, about a fourth of them never used and in their original boxes and starting in 1946 . I'm 60 now and still miss him , so many stories and so many things he taught me

Beautiful outdoor cleaning station! One recommendation. Marble, tile, ceramic, similar materials are absolutely horrible for your knives! Great for cleanup, but they will destroy your blades.

I got into some big blues in Ponce Inlet back in April. Caught a couple over 30”! It lasted for about a week that they were in there, I’d never seen big blues like that in that part of Florida it was awesome they were hitting everything I threw threw at them from soft plastics to spoons and xraps and top water!

I’ve caught my biggest inshore species of fish on the tiniest of baits! One of my biggest snooks here in SW FL was on a small tiny shrimp that was dead so I ripped its tail and sent the hook through the shrimps tiny little body. It was a PB snook at the time. Like 25 - 30 inch snook.

Can’t wait to see the Australia fishing series. That’s easy for me to say because I’m not footing the bill but would love to see someone sponsor a trip for you and Melanie to make a series of “down under” catch and cooks. 👍👍

So you've got a 9ft rod & I'm guessing the line is light enough for good casts? I'd much rather fish w/ lighter lines for the longer casting & it's a greater feel fighting a fish. It requires you have a good reel(smooth drag) & know how to use it. I know you do but I see lots of folks that have such heavy line that when they flip the bail the line acts like a "slinky" as the line spools out. I laugh at them but I can't use really heavy line when casting/working bait. Great videos man, I can feel the fun of it. peace

Tony's has another "blue label" that has a lot less salt. I started using it in 1977 when I moved to New Orleans & never could stop using it on foods. It's an all in one type of seasoning... Love the back cooking area. Bad arse'd, yes siree!

That’s why I use one bait rod and one active rod when beach fishing cause whenever you put one rod down to check the other that’s when the rod you don’t have in your hand takes off it never fails 😂 another trick to get a hit is to start to eat your lunch 😂 and then boom the action turns up

Hey Brant I saw one of your videos you are somewhere on a bridge on the river and showing down the river…It's really amazing to see how vibrant the underwater life is there. I am from Turkey,İn my opinion İf its in our rivers they dont left one single fish there . Can you explain more clearly how they maintain this biological life everywhere, even though fishing continuous

Coming to Ft Walton Beach August 17. I’ve never fished when there before. Pier fishing seems hectic for a newbie but would you recommend just fishing from the beach for less stress?
@pieseasmyseasАй бұрын
Fish the pier but the golden rule is,if someone is hooked up get out of the way. Other than that all other rules are posted by management.

Hey Brant, I’m a new subscriber and live in Kentucky. But my wife loves to go to Florida and I really like to fish there. The beach you are on looks like the Gulf Shores around Fort Pickens were we went last year? I did not get to fish there much because we got run out by the weather. Is that beach you are on near there?

Brant, when your feel like shore wading in board shorts let me know, I live near the east coast, fish two spots for 18 years and my spots provide meat. Between Oak hill and Melbourne that can be fished same day no issue. Fun is on, pick your fish, tarpon, flounder, mangroves, snook, pompano, gator trout, and of course my fave the reds. Like your style, gave up my boat a few years ago just to fun fish, retired but can’t sit around when I can fish😎Touch base if you get in the area sometime.

Good thing you're telling people to be sure not to step on a ray. A friend of mine stepped on one while looking for scallops and it was months before she could walk normally. The ray's barb is full of bacteria.
@jasonvandyke81424 ай бұрын
Personal experience - you do NOT want to have one of those barbs in your foot. We catch them frequently on a pier in the Fernandina Beach, FL area and usually we step on the tail and pull the barb out. I was stepping down on the tail and WHAM - straight into the top of my foot and almost all the way back to my ankle. It was a mess, got infected, and can vouch on it being a couple of months before walking normally after that.
