yep, dd this exact setup with my grandfather back in the 90s in Ft Walton Beach and Destin. Grab a bunch of shrimp from the bait shop and pull in Whiting, Pompano, Sand Trout, Sand Shark, and much more. Sometimes he would change his rig up with the heavy pyramid weight and bobber and wade out chest deep and cast out past the surf and pull in big blues. He always wore his deep green mechanic jump suit and a Styrofoam safari hat and his clip over glasses shades. Everytime we fished this MASSIVE stork would show up that he called George. The bird was literally 6 ft tall and scary looking. My Grandfather said he was over 80 years old and had been coming to visit everytime he fished even when he was a kid. George ALWAYS got the first and last fish and everytime we were blessed with a MASSIVE haul in. We would catch fish for the family to fry up and eat instead of going out to the restaurants. We would catch several dozen or more and always had coolers full of meat.

usually i say "cool story bro" sarcastically. But this is actually a cool story bro. hope George is still out there.

The intro to your video reminds me of the Bill Dance theme song. 🎵 The sun is just starting to rise up over the treetops. It's gonna be a beautiful day. that's plain to see. But I won't be around at all, so dont even bother to call. Cause on a day like today there's one place I gotta be. Gone fishin' 🎶 Love the vids man. Keep em coming.

Y’all’s beach up there looks soooo so nice. Down here in Saint Petersburg the beaches are messed up and most likely still contaminated because of the sewer system failure during Helene and Milton 🤷🏻‍♀️ I couldn’t even tell you a place to go saltwater fishing down here other then the skyway pier. That place is plagued with dolphins!

Fishing in or near Pensacola is so much more fun than PCB. From Navarre to Fort Morgan the surf fishing is so much better. And the bay fishing is much better as well. We always bring back home as much as we want to keep. The bait seems much more abundant and easier to catch. You can keep PCB but give me every bit west to Ft. Morgan. Our dream is to move to that area soon! Keep up the great videos Brant and Melodie. With love from TN

I'd rather eat whiting than flounder. Flounder has more meat but absolutely no flavor to me when it's fried. I have to cook it on a grill to get some flavor but fried whiting is literally one of the best tasting saltwater fish to me.

Are you to put sand fleas and fish bites in my pocket. If I put shrimp in my pockets, I would put them in a Ziploc sandwich baggie. So I don’t hurting my pocket plus all my coolers. I always bring grocery bags to put my fish in it so I don’t have to clean my cooler to clean my cooler and start to smell and putting them in the grocery bags I could just pour the fish out and throw away the bag and my coolers perfectly clean, I hope you try that saves a lot of time.
