These people haven’t seen tourists for a long time so you’re kinda new to them in that regard. They’re simply inquisitive and curious, don’t demonize them for that. Nobody will bat an eye when you’re in Lahore or Islamabad or Karachi. We have developed cities as well despite what preconceived notions you may have. See videos from other travel vloggers like Eva Zu Beck, Drew Binski, Mark Wiens, Food Ranger etc. Pakistanis are not bad people (despite what the media says), just be friendly and greet them like a normal person and they’ll do the same for you. They’re some of the most hospitable people. And there’s no crossing the border obviously, you should have known that. The Indians literally put up a curfew on their side of the Kashmiri border and even passed xenophobic legislation in their parliament or was that not part of your travel briefing? Thats why there’s so much tension between the two countries. Stop portraying Pakistan like a some Middle-eastern wasteland just to get views or because it helps the story sell. Sure Pakistan has its had its fair share of problems(India has added to them), but so does every other nation. Its time you report more responsibly and rather than demonizing the people, try looking at things from their point of view.

Xenophobia is not allowing Hindus to build 1 fucking temple in Islamabad, the capital. Imagine if the same thing happened in India, it’s obvious the brainwashing is working well. What’s next? Osama Bin Ladin was found in India and not harbored by Pakistan.
@haiderat207
@haiderat207 4 жыл бұрын
@@babyboo9252 while I'm against what happened with the temple incident in Islamabad and want that it should be constructed along with many other well meaning Pakistanis. The majority of us aren't religious clerics or fanatics like often portrayed in news and want minorities to be given better and equal treatment. Don't know what you're referring to by brainwashing though, and I don't need to imagine anything in India because they're doing a swell job in reality since a Mosque i.e. Babri Masjid was just recently demolished in India. Sure we didn't get one built, but didn't destroy an existing place of worship either, unlike our neighbors. However, I acknowledge that OBL being here was extremely sorry and bad. Although I still have my doubts on his capture and the event itself. Similar to how many US citizens are dubious of 911(horrible incident btw) and it possibly being an inside job, doesn't necessarily mean I'm brainwashed. Rather I'd look at both sides of the story before giving an opinion. On the other hand Kulbushan Yadhev was found in Pakistan, wonder what he was doing so far away from India that too being a serving Indian Navy officer... And lets not forget the Kashmiris who've been on lockdown for almost a year now, in IOK, which is an amazing example of minority treatment in India. For reference my original comment mentions the lockdown and that was 7 months ago.

@@haiderat207 the babri masjid was built on a very important place for Hindus. Imagine if someone built something of their religion on your kaaba. Wouldn't you fight back? Stop blaming india for all of your problems. Your government messed everything up

I am still not sure how you managed to get an afghan guide in an area where afghanis or Pathans are considered red flags. This place Astore Gilgit Baltistan got nothing to do with Afghanis they have different language Sheena and different culture. You should have went there with any random Pakistani and you would have got better reception near border. Rainbow Lake Domail Minimarg was one of the beautiful places can google it. You were stopped at Chilum check post which is army controlled area. That afghani was just bullshitting when he showed few peaks as indian side as he was embarrased to be denied access.I have met many people and this year a Spanish Guy on his bicycle and he has crossed this border without any issue alone n for sure they dont carry big ass cameras and camera crews if they geniune traveller hence they get the permissions too. Please make sure you do your home work right or atleast get a guide from that area where you going not an Afghani dude who you met on your Afghanistan trip. :)) I lived in that area and trust me Afghanis and pathans are considered big no nos here.its diff breed n are very peacefull people they aint war lords and drug dealers here. They ask many questions cause they cautious when there are foreigners in their area and try to protect them from mishap.

I would say his trip was very poorly prepared as his guide was a random afghani guy who can not even speak this area language which is "Sheena/Gilgity." And afghanis are red flags in these regions for their famous characteristics people hate them there.
