I mean you can still "stay true to science" even by making your video look even better with "fancy shmancy graphics," I honestly don't think you're going to steer clear of the way of science by adding random effects and stuff. My favorite part of science has always been it's deep hatred of video after effects. On a real note, if you think I'm trying to be some sort of villain by ruining your fun, I'm not, You clearly have some vendetta against computer based effects, that is completely fine, I just don't like how you're trying to say adding those effects means you no longer follow the principals of science.

Geniuses that exists like him or similar to him are rare like I won’t even be surprised if they were Super Rare and about me well I’d rather not talk and don’t ask why it’s my desire so respect it as I would respect you for idk whatever good desire you have or opinion in anything. Note: if you think I’m lying to you like many people tend to that every single time I talk about that genius guy (my best friend) they just would not believe it and there’s many reasons for that stupid illiterate assumption and one of those reasons is because of my name now I’ll understand why you might not believe me because of (to you) inconsistent NICKname name regarding my personality but look I was never treated or respected in middle school for my genius ok don’t judge me I mean I don’t really care if you do not believe me I’ll care for your opinions only the good ones but the bad ones I’ll just ignore them because they won’t benefit me nor benefit you but they will only do the opposite unless like I said you don’t say those negative opinions in the first place so I wouldn’t have to ignore them and we both leave with nothing good but nothing bad too so if you don’t believe me well you’re a human being and humans beings have free will in everything so I can’t stop to do anything or change your mind on anything but I only can try to that’s the least I can do because as a human being I might as well f__ing force you to do or change your mind on anything but only bad or evil humans would do such things so I’ll just try and if my tries are hopeless I’ll leave to it and I will simply just walk away and that’s all peace be upon you.

Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brainpower you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I'm not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You've single-handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I'm so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly, if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You're lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every war crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again. We should put that joke in textbooks so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. I'm disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that, you've wasted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. Now those kids are suffering without meals and there's nobody to blame but you. I hope you're happy with what you have done and I truly hope you can move on and learn from this piss poor attempt /s. not to be taken seriously :)

You might actually be able to draw liquid up the entire length of the straw if after drawing a foot or so of liquid you remove the bottom end of the straw from the container. Then you should be able to get that slug of water to climb all the way up to your mouth. This allows atmospheric pressure to assist in pushing up the water, as you now only have to create a difference in pressure equal to the weight of the water slug. This trick will only work if the straw's diameter is small enough to allow capillary action to keep the liquid intact.
@ke6gwf3 жыл бұрын
I wish you had explained a little more about what the theoretical limit is based on, namely that the water is being pushed UP the tube by atmospheric pressure, so this is also dependent on elevation, weather, etc, changing the atmospheric pressure.

4:20 this video helped me realize how trees could “suck up” water past 34ft

@kapjoteh3 жыл бұрын
They actually don’t suck up through a vacuum, but because of a very low water potential outside of the leaves that causes transpiration through the xylem through cohesion of the water molecules inside it
@davidmedia31343 жыл бұрын
the trees use capillarity which is the same reason why soil is usually wet even when the aquifers or water table are a few meters below; capillarity occurs due to the surface tension of water, this as a result of the water molecules having a stronger bond between them that with the other fluid, in this case, air. So when you introduce a capilar or small pore in the water, the surface tension forms a meniscus that results in a positive force component that conducts the water up high, this is why the level of the liquid in a straw in your drinks is never the same as the rest of the cup but a little bit higher, the smaller the pores the higher the water gets, in sands this might be a few inches or a couple of feet because sand is coarse and so the pores area larger, in silts or clays water can climb up to 10 meters, the same principle applies to trees.
