Went out after a couple weeks of storms in January hoping to see if the fish were on the midges yet. Not a ton of dry fly eats, but I found a pod of fish willing to eat them. Also nymphed up a few as well. It's almost time guys!

Yeah, the MP has some great dry fly spots that are pretty reliable day to day.

@@TroutFlies It would seem that way when I watch you fishing it. Now that the masses have subsided I try to fish it once or twice a week and feel fortunate when I manage to pull out a single fish. It's still better than sitting on the couch.

how busy does the middle provo get? would you say its easier or harder to fish than the lower? do you have white fish up there?

There are whitefish up there, but honestly I've caught less of them this year. I think it's about the same. The Lower is more consistent IMO, but the MP has a better chance for magical days.

I understand its all public land and as long as you dont walk across some nerds property you can walk the entire middle without trespassing =) Love that! there is a guy who owns a significant chunk of the lower and has become extremely aggressive in making sure people dont walk on "HIS" river to the point that he'll down right harass people fishing NEAR his land.
