Thank you for the in depth review! As others have mentioned dimethicone is silicon. But I also wanted to bring up the the ingredient DMDM Hydantonin is linked pretty directly to hairloss. I found that out from the human brands of Ogx and tresseme from lawsuits filed against them. And it's unfortunate because Santa fe was one of my favorites. But now I've switched to vetrolin for shine and sun protection.

Thank you for reviewing all those products for us! But yes any ingredient ending in “-cone” is a silicone. Dimethicone is the most used silicone in both human and horse hair care products as it is cheap and effective. I have no issues using silicone on my horses or myself, it comes out with any shampoo :)

Just a heads, dimethicone is silicone :( any ingredient that ends in "cone" usually means silicone. What it does is coat the hair, make it silky, shiny, the only problem is it technically takes a shampoo to remove that "coating" it put on the hair. Thus, no moisture can enter the hair shaft until the silicone is removed. I never had an issues with it, but just some info for you! Dimethicone is silicone!!

This was interesting to me because I assumed that all the shine sprays were pretty much the same! Especially the silicone ones!

I love effol as a brand but didn't know there had shine spray. Also vectolin is a solid brand. Like I said on Instagram Cowboy Magic detangler and shine is what I use for Blizz his ENORMOUS tail and I'll stick to it even though it is a bit expensive. If I see the Stubben somewhere Ik think I'll try it. Thank you fit the review!

Vetrolin is the best for sure, will have your horse coat feeling like a baby’s bottom
