Trying to Fix the Leaky Basement

The basement leaks, not just water but the water brings in a fine silt mud that covers the floor. I grabbed some Quikrete Hydraulic Water-Stop Cement to try and patch the hole.

When I use hydraulic cement like this, I transfer about a cup of it into a small plastic container like the kind that Cool Whip comes in; WAY smaller than the green bucket in this video, perfect size to keep from making batches that are too large to be worked and applied in the short time frame, and the plastic is flexible enough that I can just "massage" it to make the dried cement break up and fall out....easy cleanup.

I’ve been using this stuff for the last month in my basement. Despite having a new roof, new gutters, buried downspouts that carry my water 25+ feet away from my house, 2 sump pumps and two deep pits, I’m still having hydrostatic pressure that’s pushing water in through the cove joints and thin cracks along the floor of my basement. So I’ve been using this product and it work e very well in some areas. One spot that it doesn’t work is where my bulkhead foundation connects to ny basement foundation. As soon as I patch an inch of the joint there will be a new inch section that water suddenly starts squeezing out of. Starting to think I shouldn’t fight the water and maybe I should let it in and guide it into a channel drain that leads to my sump pits. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’ve spent $37K on house upgrades the last two months and nothing seems to fix this water issue. Desperately seeking a solution

You need to have the outside walls waterproofed. These companies sell everything to customers except what they really need and that’s the outside walls waterproofed like they do in new construction now. After that, a drainage system wouldn’t hurt none.

No. This is an actual house. The back part of the house is above the basement. The larger front part of the house is over a pier and beam set up.
