Trying To Fix The Running Issue On The 1995 Polaris Magnum 425 4x4 - FIXED!! See other videos

A terrible first attempt at replacing the stator on my 1995 Polaris Magnum 425. It was a struggle of multiple attempts and many runs to the parts store. Any tips along the way would be greatly appreciated!

Hey on your stator puller build tension with it then smack the flywheel with a rubber mallet it’ll pop right off

Link in the description. It is the correct one. If you look at it, it has the longer yellow wires that are needed to reach the regulator. The other ones that are listed have all the wires the same length and won’t work.

And the secret to removing the flywheel will remain a mystery?

Keep tension on the flywheel puller and tap the outside of the flywheel with a soft mallet. It will eventually come loose. They are a bear to get off the first time. Once you’ve had it off a couple of times, it comes off much easier.

His puller was inside out had the bolts pulling threw the curved slots . Put some pressure on it hit it with a hammer tighten the puller little by little after hitting with a hammer unless turning it is hard . Don’t draw back to Hawaii and hit it just hit it a little then try to tighteng the puller .

Nope. It would not idle more than 10 seconds. It was like someone just turned the key off.

@@JakeMMelvin There's a video about a kill switch, they go bad and you can unplug them and check for spark that may be the problem

I'm getting only 1 spark right when I hit the start button. Might be this my issue? I have a new coil. New cdi.

Having an issue on my Polaris Magnum 425 will not take full throttle after riding it for a few days I parked it, went to go fire it up will not start I have gas and Spark shot some starting fluid in the carb still will not fire up couple ignition pops that's about it Any ideas since yours is kind of doing the same thing?

the earth wire that you just pushed back is going to rub through the spinning flywheel should of been tucked behind the stator and tied. DOH
