BRANDON. you can use white paint as liquid white. it's pretty much the same thing. stop using febreze and soapy water 😂

Linseed oil and white oil paint, but honestly you can do a thin coat of linseed oil and paint on that too. Boss Ross brand of liquid white is too expensive imo.

Hi there! I'm an illustrator, haven't gotten too far into this video (but I love your videos!) and I wanted to let you know that your question "how does Bob blend like that??!?" is because of the liquid white that he starts with. The wet surface makes the brush and paint glide over the canvas and it's way easier to smooth things out. So, a lot of your confusion could probably be solved by nailing down that step one. Also, I can't quite tell what paint medium you're using, but Bob paints with oils (as opposed to watercolor or acrylic, for example). I can't QUITE recall what he mixes to do the liquid white (I'm rusty on my oil painting processes), but it's likely that he uses an alkyd/linseed oil. Basically, it's called a "painting medium". You mix it into the paint and it gets all slippery. If your surface is already slippery the paint practically blends itself. Good luck!!!

OH I FORGOT. Another reason why you might be having such a hard time is that you might actually be using oil paints and you used WATER for your liquid white. Water and oil don't mix so you basically put together liquids that are mortal enemies. You were doomed from the start. :D

Prime your canvas with2 coats of white, then while its still wet, you paint. Thats how he blends so easy. LOVE all your videos!!!
