so as a member of team scs, my additional bit of advice is to just straight up be a good person. if you’ve talked to a member of team scs before you’ll probably have noticed we’re pretty positive and friendly (hopefully myself included lol) and that’s pretty important for both getting on the team as well as continuing to be a part of it, since we’re called *team* scs for a reason. you may meet all of the requirements on paper but if your vibe is wack you may still not be a right fit for the team. scs wants good people representing their brand and us on team scs don’t want elitism, arrogance, egotism, or any sort of toxicity among us

I would love to see a speedcubeshop locally in Springfield MO, There is a lot of speed cubers in the area and you would be surprised how busy your shop could get. It would really help local speed cubers meet each other and have a place to replace cube parts or just buy a new cube. I would really love to see your store go nationwide so we can bring more cubers together. This would be amazing to see. Also would love to see the WCA have competitions in Springfield MO as well because there are many community centers and churches these can be held at. The Battlefield mall would be perfect for a Speedcubeshop. Would this be a good idea to you?

I do not have the availability to go to competitions, and I do not have a WCA profile. I don't have the freedom (or the money lol) to go anywhere out of state, and I'm in Arkansas where there's never any WCA competitions or any speed cubing comps in general. I was wondering if this would overall hurt my chances, and if not, what would I need to do to counteract that as far as content or anything else really? I would really appreciate help in this area, as I am trying my best to be able to do all sorts of things with speed cubing in the future. Thanks!

Providing Value = The "free stuff" the sponsored people get is actually costing SCS some money. Not returning the favor doesn't really make sense. Believe in the Brand = Cameron can't say it as a matter of consistency, but if SCS sponsored you it doesn't look good if people see you using stuff from TheCubicle, DailyPuzzles, etc.

Age does not matter, and neither does the language you speak. You don't HAVE to been to a competition, but it does help, and you would have to have very good youtube content.

On the page with the info about getting sponsored, it says "You should be within the top 20 for world-ranking on the WCA rankings for average and/or single for the events that you specialize in". Does that mean you would have max 40 3x3 sponsors? (20 average and 20 single) There are probably people who world-rank in both averages and singles, as well as people sponsored by other brands, so there probably are less than 20 3x3 solvers in the world who would be fast enough to be sponsored, not to mention they probably don't all even have KZbin channels where they review puzzles so its probably even less. That seems like a pretty hard requirement to reach if I'm understanding correctly. Everyone should probably understand this if they really want to be sponsored.

Hey Noah, It’s Veronica! Most people that don’t meet our requirements were either picked up before our new requirements were posted, or they’ were sponsored based on a multitude of things. You’re always able to submit an application. We will send an evaluation if we’re unable to sponsor you at the time of your submission.
