Just a little heads up the metallic clips your using outside will have corroded in a few weeks there not for use outside. The cartridge blank let’s call it, is to be used on the trunking nails which won’t fit in the holder 😉

When using the special white fixings for plastic (trunking) it has to be used without the feeder so that is what the cover is for

I picked up some stainless 304 cable tie bases from TS (35187) for a similar job. Plugged and screwed was way more time consuming, but it was red brick. Clips were good but small so a tad finicky, your clips look easier to hold while fastening. I would recommend stainless ties with PVC protective channel band though, much longer lasting.

I love my Runpotec X-Board, up to 800kg. I use it to spool fibre off massive 600kg drums, handles them no problem & so much quieter and easier than on jacks or a trailer.

Spit deep and shallow setting use as hard material and soft I use one daily deep setting for poured concrete and steel plaster and block use the shallow setting and if you use hc27 they work well for most applications and the peace that replaces cartridge is for single shot work where clip or brack already got nail in ready for gun

You can get a magnetic attachement for the tip of the nailer which so you dont have to hold the metal clips

The nails for the 27e are only rated for use in dry conditions. I assume that at some point in the future there will be armoured cable fixings failing.

Stainless steel clips/fixings outside would be better than galvanised. Probably 2 or 3 times harder material and probably cost a lot more. That Spit nailer definitly speeds the job up. I look forward to the next video.

Hey Nick, Great video like all of them. But I am curious about the age of those brick row houses where you're working in this video. They look quite old to me maybe 80 to 100 years old? Am I in the ballpark? Anyway i was puzzling in my head about those old houses because I love old houses. All the best you guys!
@Hiero1986 Жыл бұрын
I'm going to assume you're not in the UK, because terrace (row) houses are extremely common and most were built in the latter half of the 19th century through to the 1920s (ish) though are still built today, they're just not as popular for new builds. My house is 118 years old, which I wouldn't say is particularly old as houses go in the UK.

Probably best off using panduit metal bands instead of plastic ties. Plastic ties in that setting will go brittle over the years and snap.
@AndrewLumsden Жыл бұрын
I think you would have been better off with Linian clips. However much the cable ties are UV resistant, they will fail over time.
