Hey Zauxie! Nice video :) Great to see you progress. Something I would suggest to think about: Doing wheelies on the 690 at 30kmh is a little safer because you are not going so fast BUT doing the wheeilies at exactly 50kmh is much easier at the beginning because the bike is at the perfect point to pop up. At that point you can also power wheelie it if you wanted to (which I would not suggest though!). Right now I am also doing my wheelies at 30kmh but when I started I did them at 50 because it was easier to get the front up and it also felt more controlled to me. Just some food for thought. Don't forget to cover the back brake ;) and looking forward to the next practice session!
@ZauxieMoto2 жыл бұрын
i think i would be even more scared if id do it at 50km/h haha but i might give it a shot i think at 50km/h in second gear thats right when the power comes on so your right i could power wheelie it through it might not be the best way but it will get me more time on the back wheel making me more comfortable? might try it out! thanks for the tip BKLF!
@bklf2022 жыл бұрын
@@ZauxieMoto oh yea I get that. It is more scary at that speed for sure but since it felt more stable to me than doing it at 30 it eventually felt ‚more‘ safe to me. If you ever decide to go this route I would suggest clutching it up at 45kmh. That’s what worked for me. But in the end I am sure you will have your own approach.

It was rough to get used to when I started wheeling mine. Lack of low end is weird in a single cylinder. i always use map 2 and turn TC off. I prefer at least 2nd gear wheelies. 1st gear wheelie is too touchy when your starting out. Get into 2nd gear go about 35 mph(55-56kph) and clutch up. It comes up like nothing and being in 2nd gear it won’t be as quick to come up as first. Plus throttle modulation will be easier in 2nd gear. Helps find the balance point easier.
@ZauxieMoto Жыл бұрын
oh yeah you are 100% right its just hard to explain maybe my brain is just weird haha but im kinda scared to go higher i mean i know how to do it its just more gass at this point but i dont want to drop this bike haha i might start learning it on my 300 exc i dont mind dropping that! thanks for leaving a comment Rusty!
@Tr5H_PaNdA Жыл бұрын
@@ZauxieMoto i completely understand. Sadly I’ve dropped a few. What I do find is the faster you go, the easier it is to balance. You don’t have to raise as high to hit balance point the faster you go. It is a shame to drop one though. It’s a great idea to start on dirt. Like you said.

for the quikcshifter part that wasn't it. your traction control isn't off it'll try to keep you down. especially harder to wheelie while learning

Hey dude, your video really helped! I just got the GasGas 700 version and although I absolutely love the bike I was really struggling with wheelies, after watching I was getting some not bad clutch ups in first and got a really good one in second! Thanks man!

If you keep a liiitle bit of brake pressure at all times you will learn to give her the beans and also you cannot loop wich makes it a lot less scary to get it a little higher. Most important of all is that you should not rush this process. When you get that scared, panicky feeling you're exiting your comfort zone and next time your comfort zone will be bigger. Keep at it!

Dude thank you so much for the nice comment Isaac! yeah i also havnt been able to practise as much as i want due to shitty health problems literally xD *intestine problems* so its quite uncomfortable to ride atm but i will get back to it at some point in the future! I also think its just more scary cause its my first brand new bike i bought i didnt think it would give me that anxiety of ruining/looping the bike this much when i started doing more fun stuff on it but it does haha all in due time! Thank you for supporting and leaving a nice comment! AND also thank you for giving a small channel like mine a shot!

Another tip I have found helpful is to set up a camera on the ground filming you do the wheelie so u can see how for the front is coming up... I know it feels like u are about to flip but I can tell u got all kinds room to bring it up. But just keep at it and good luck. Hopefully you got a few tips from everyone on here

Bro, as long as you keep putting in the effort on the wheelies, it's progress. You're getting data of what is working and what is not. You got this! As for the frustrating video, if you feel it's something that should see daylight, send it!🤘
@ZauxieMoto2 жыл бұрын
your 1000% right about that i just think currently its frustrating cause i dont feel like riding and doing wheelie practise cause of the health stuff but at least trying them from time to time is still better then trying not at all i guess?? I just need to try to have fun with it and not worry to much haha there was a part where i just sat and talked about frustrations and life in general it might be interesting idk it might help to see that if people do struggle to learn this that they are not alone when/if then get frustrated?
