Trying to start a bonfire. Not going as well as I hoped.

In the last video, we ended with Zach and I trying to slide the fire to burn it down some. A few days later, the pile still remains unburned.
We’ve had rain on and off, which does not help the fact that it’s already hard to start a fire with greenwood. This video did not go as planned however it’s still video

Great video Adam glad you were able to get the fire going so you could get it burned up. You got a pretty good area picked up and cleared. Hopefully tomorrow goes better getting the rest of it burned and cleaned. Thanks for sharing stay safe Adam.

If it dies again repeat how you started this video but break out some of that used motor oil and soak the pile and let the oil sit for about an hour and then light. The oil will penetrative into the bigger logs. Vest of luck old friend. Cheers 🍻

Good to see the fire going also those skid steer loaders dont turn standing still make light turns while your moving it wont destroy the yard so bad

Yeah, I was trying to be careful at first. But by the end of the second day, my yard is destroyed.

Put some used motor oil on it.. it will burn nice & slow!

Good fire now. Don't you have people around there with log burners/fires. Over here they would come cut that lot up and cart it away free especially the large trunks...Cheers for now. Did I see Katie in the back ground will fire helmet and hose!! 😜

I will keep the big stuff and let it dry out for firewood in future years, I don’t know if anybody off top of my head that would come get it and I didn’t want to pay with the tree company. Wanted to cut it up.

Do what we do clearing for power lines old tires some fuel in them it will burn 🔥 for days

OMG! Somebody suggested using regular gas for fire starter! NEVER DO THAT! Thats a perfect way for things to go really BAD Jeeeze! Just keep at it. adding diesel to already burning sections , and feeding other burnables as you go. The big logs will likely not catch and burn.

Yeah, I segregated most of the big logs, except for the two that were the trees that fell into my burn pile. But if it gets hot enough, they will burn as well.

5:17 Spray diesel with cheap pump sprayer and let it soak in a bit before lighting. Wish I could help ya. On the other hand, if anyone ever accuses you of arson, you could present this video in your defense 😂

I actually tried to pump up sprayer thing, but apparently it didn’t like the diesel and it wouldn’t seal

Stop using diesel. Use regular gasoline. Be careful though. Ex-pyro

Gasoline has too much of a flashpoint and it burns off too fast. It’ll make a big boom and a lot of fire and then nothing will burn.
