Hair color remover has to do the same thing coloring your hair does-it has to open the cuticle (which is where the ‘damage’ happens) and it’s designed to remove the color-which includes your natural color (why it lightens your natural hair color). These natural remedies can be just as damaging to your scalp and not really make any difference.

The best semi permanent hair dye removal (tested multiple times on myself😉) : -soak your hair in coconut oil -let it sit for at least 2 hours before proceeding -do not rinse it out -mix 1 part clarifying shampoo / anti dandruff shampoo with 1 part bleach powder (NO developer) -massage the mixture in your oily hair -use a little bit of water if needed -cover your hair with saran wrap or plastic bag -heat it up with a hairdryer or sit next to a heater -rinse after 10 minutes -use a hair mask This process won't lift your regrowing roots, it just strips the color from the hairshaft, because there is no developer involved to lift up the folikel. It is not damaging but it is drying out to the hair.

Well I won't take any guarantees. My hair is natural blonde and bleached to a white blonde. I often used directions and always got rid of the colors. If you are afraid, do a strand test first and see if you like the result. I heard about putting lemon juice in your hair, you can do it pure or mix it with the honey and then heat your head by using the blow dryer. Best would be to go out in the sun with the lemon so it can get UV. So if you want some nice summer highlights, just spray on some lemon juice every morning and after like 3 weeks you'll have cute sun kissed highlights

The c-vitamin method works, just use really cheap basic shampoo with sulfates. It's important to apply the mixture to dry hair or else it wont work nearly as well.

For anyone in the comments with dark roots or grown out roots with dyed ends (with semi-permanent color), in my experience the method that worked best for me was soaking my hair in oil (I usually used almond oil, but you can also use coconut oil) for at least 2 hours (I would try to do it overnight and wear a shower cap or plastic bag over my hair, then wrap a towel or something over that), then used the dandruff shampoo + baking soda mix and leave that on for 1-2 hours (also wrap your head again to trap heat). I would then use my regular shampoo twice and use a hair mask. Depending on what color I was trying to remove, I would have to do this 1-3 times, with at least a few days between each time. But this protects your natural hair color.

naomi!! you don’t have to re-pierce your tongue, i had to take mine out for a dental surgery and i couldn’t get it back in so i left it like that for 4 months. when i went back to my piercer to get a different piercing i told him about it and he took a very small blunt metal rod?? and opened the hole again. it barely hurt and i could eat fine afterwards since there wasn’t really any swelling. i thought i’d let you know. 💗
