I love the idea, but the problem is that we're talking about speedrunners here, so "when you feel like it" is, kinda by definition, as soon as the run starts. Though I fully expect that we'd get meme entries to that category, like a run that is 4 hours 20 minutes and 6.9 seconds long.

The best thing about the one-finger run is that cj could’ve easily remapped the ABXY buttons to the D-pad in the Switch settings so he didn’t have to move his hand so much, but he chose to struggle doing it the normal way. That’s commitment

@@jarontrox2614 Yeah, I guess the nice thing about talkatoo% is that it's always completable. But I like that this category has that spice, that finishing a run might be impossible. Granted, I'm not the one doing the run, but as a viewer it's fun and fascinating. So maybe it's better for content than an actual category.

Apocalypse%: every NPC and boss/character is gone. Even enemies. If a story moon is given to you by a person, the moon is just there. No music either. Only essential captures exist

Hey cjya you should do maximum captures: you have to capture every creature including multiples, say if there are 2 spark pylons you have to capture the 2 spark pylons. Now however say if it’s a bullet bill and more constantly spawn it does not count. Capture one from each cannon and be on your way. Thanks for reading this.

Out of 20 moons in lost kingdom, he only got 7. That calutas to 7.4%, which isn't likely. But the chance to get at out of Lost Kingdom was 58.8%, which is a little more than a coinflip, so I guess the odds was only slightly favored anyway

Dunno if this is possible, but DLC% Once you get past Cascade Kingdom (or maybe when you start the game) EVERYTHING costs coins to do. Walk for a second? 1 coin/second. Want to do movement tech? 5 coins per. Capture an enemy? Another 5 coins each. Grab a moon? Those cost 50 coins now. That or just make moons cost 300 coins and see if THAT’s even possible.

Idea for a mod: so basically it's a horror game now. Enemies look scary, getting hit or bonking has a chance to jumpscare you, and each world has a unique gimmick (one where there's an invincible monster that constantly chases you, one where bombs might start raining from the sky, one where it's dark and you have a flashlight or you have to use lightning strikes to see, one where stuff seems to happen but nothing horrible actually happens, its just creepy, other stuff like that). The goal to move on is different for each kingdom, but it's all horror themed or at least just Halloween themed (like one where you have to buy the skeleton costume, uhh... I don't have any other ideas).

I think that the best finger for the one finger speed run would be the left thumb, because you could use the base to manoeuvre the thumb stick and the tip to mod accurately press buttons. You could do the same with the right thumb but then you would have to have the controller upside down
