since some people keep asking, in the extras there's a setting that lets you change your difficulty from 0-100%, which reduces the damage you take from everything. (100% is default damage)

@@gabrielbarron7667 That would make some of the attacks broken(neutral sans have some kind of attacks that deals all damage but keeps your 1 HP. Ig with 2 attack sans could somehow brake scripts then kill from, let's say final attack.

i love how they still let you spare sans similarly to asgore in ruthless in this game, so you can do a equivalent to a papyrus redemtion route lol. i imagine during whatever ruthless boss we fight in crystal springs (there's a chance it might not be alphys, since asriel is an adult and i imagine he'd be fairly good at magic), there'd be no way to spare them lol so it's neat to see here

oh its a setting in extras that makes everything deal less damage. if you set it to 0% you basically never die (that's why i take so little damage in the video)

Idk if this is a hot take but i don't think they should let the player lower the difficulty if they are doing genocide, it makes everything less... Impactful

i can somewhat agree with this point, of course it'll take away all the fun if you can just sit still in the attacks and not die. i do think that the difficulty scale is a useful tool both for accessibility and practice, since some people would want to memorize a fight, and 0% difficulty is perfect for that, as long as you dont use it to skip fights. TL;DR: difficulty scale is good if used responsibly

IMO, I despise when games lock stuff behind absurdly difficult fights (undertale yellow’s genocide being an example), so I just cheated and edited my file to win the fights. Impact didn’t really matter cause I just wanted to see the ending and junk.

Would look more interesting if you took of your weapon(if you guys don't know, you have fists in this game, so you can take off your weapon and attack with bare hands, although attack bar will be the same as stick, also damage decrease, so it's the most "Peaceful" weapon option)

the dialogue is the same as if you got to the second phase twice and died, and the only part i saw a change at was when he said "surprise, there's a skeleton behind the mask" at the start of the second phase (which you can get by simply missing your attack, whether you're going for the ACT or not)
