Few things to clarify! A - The name "Gaster" crashes your game. B - Every Deltarune Name just says the same thing as Kris and Ralsei's names said in the video.

Yeah, cuz section 5 of deltatraveler ITS TS!Underswap, thats why it says the name does not belong to you, cuz the true Kris, Susie and Noelle will be there

The fact that you actually CAN name yourself Harry or Larry is honestly funny. Like, they don't let you do it for ANY other character's name (unless you count "Papyru" and "Alphy" but still) It'd be funny if the name Clover gave you extra defense and attack with the Revolver and Cowboy Hat in the Ruins.

It's most likely because there are real people named "Larry" or "Harry" so they allowed people to name the human with their name.

It would also be funny if It also gave you Clover's sprites (fitted to the TS!Underswap style) And you didn't get the stick and has the Cowboy Hat and Toy Gun already equiped by default also your soul would be yellow

You can input Etika as a name, and it'll give a slight memorial speech, plus asking you to respect the name and back off. It's very nice.

If You name yourself "Death" The game will tell you "With this name, not even you are above death." And it activates a Permadeath mode where once you die, your save file is erased.

naming yourself "shayy" gives you cryptic hint to some kind of other secret. the name "batter" makes chara "feel pure". weirdly enoguh, afaik "batter" is the only special name that is not related to undertale/deltarune in any way - i tried bunch of names from other rpgmaker/similar games as well as homestuck and earthbound.

The Shay secret one IS a secret that give you a item when u use It in the Second burger pant encounter (the bat one) It give you the IOU (same thing as punch card)

@@ujd4 oh, so thats how i get the card. thanks! can you please hint if it does have any "legitimate" uses (not counting very much intentional "bugs" made for speedrunners)? whenever i try to Google for hints i end up getting spolied with COMPLETE solution, and thats no fun.

@@aps.1117 i think the IOU (punch card) dont have any other use without glitches (i think Theres only 1 dialogue if you try skip the last Boss fight that IS more easy Just see a video on KZbin) unless you wanna see It idk maybe like the puzzle Key item that i forgo the name

the special name "batter" you mentioned came from the videogame "OFF". it's basically an proto concept of undertale i guess, you should try checking the game out if you wanna learn more about it.

Spoilers from the Ruthless Route: Nah the accent is just an act, Alphys drops it when she's calling Crossbones. Heck, in pacifist her accent also has French in it, so it's probably really just an act to make herself seem cool and smart (kinda like what canon Alphys has going on...) Makes you wonder if she's gonna just as much of a nerd and dork.. given how the TS US characters are a lot like their canon counterparts.

theres this fun thing called OBS. its really helpful if you want to record things. It doesn't have an awful watermark or horrible framerate either.

I remember trying the name 'death' which said something about if you die, everything resets back to the beginning. I haven't actually tried it, but if you want to try hardcore mode then give it a shot, I guess.

There is a non-zero percent chance that someone will name themselves after a yet-revealed character in a future update, and then when the update comes out, that name will be impossible to attain on your file again.
