Your depiction of Union Station, Washington DC (USA) reflects the building after a major renovation in the 1980s. The multi-story structure to the left of the wreck is a parking and bus transfer facility which didn't exist in 1953. The GG1 was lowered into the basement of Union Station for disassembly, and the giant hole was covered with a temporary floor, just in time for arriving crowds attending President Eisenhower's inauguration on January 20. The old days when things got done quickly in Washington. Long past.
