Great video. I also think the quick videos would be nice first followed by the in-depth ones later. I love your action bar setup and your key binds. I was just getting ready to re-do mine when I stumbled across your channel. I’m going to recreate it in Bartender or at least something similar. Thanks for all the info.

I'm using Bartender 4 for my actual UI and it is set up almost exactly like I set it up here and in my import code. The keybinds have been working out great for me so far too - to the point that I might not end up using OPie this expansion (maybe).

Good job man, i like the way you set it up. it all makes sense. i would also like to see a basic video on how you set up your UI (neverming, i saw your other vid). The key bind is important but I would treat it in a different video, with rotation for example.

Personally, the more in-depth videos are more appealing as I expect they'll teach how to approach and think about setting up a character so we'll be able to adjust as we meet with adversity. I expect that Blizzard will continuously play with the dials on the game, and that could render an off-the-shelf build less effective as the game shifts under it. As for the UI, I think that if you make a video explaining it and then make a clip that you spliced into the start of each spec video reminding viewers that "this button and that row are for this functionality" would be the most effective (with the obligatory reference the link to the more in-depth UI/keybinds video in the description and/or upper corner as part of that cut-in clip). I think that gives viewers the most latitude to have what they need to comprehend what you're doing as well as take a deeper dive if they want/need to. I think the keybinds should be an explanation of approach to it (i.e., "it's easiest for my fingers to reach these keys, so I put this functionality on them because it's most important" and so on) with your personal keybinds merely as examples because that's what works best for your hands. (Including the default WoW setup, I have done 4 different keybind setups in the past 2 years chasing what feels right to my hands, and I don't think I'm done chasing yet, but I'm closer. Same thing with ability groupings on my bars.)

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I think having a graphic I can show in the videos for the action bar setup would definitely help, as well as linking out to the overview videos.

While I like the in depth vids when I'm trying to learn a class or spec, I think the quick start guides would be great, especially for those of us who haven't got a lot of experience with these kinds of talent trees, to get moving. A basic 'this is a viable build, how it works, and why it works' means I don't have to throw myself against the wall while hoping my main or priority alt is towards the front of the queue in the long vids.

My personal preference would be quick guides for all classes/specs to let people jump in and level, and then maybe do deeper guides later if you feel like doing them and/or people ask for them. I like your UI, I too have my buffs/mounts/out of combat stuff all the way in the right bar and then combat stuff in the bottom-middle :) I also love the idea of builds geared specifically for questing, sustain, less cooldowns, no party/raid focus - that's what I've used for 95% of my playtime over the last over a decade :) One thing I've aways disliked is WeakAuras vs action bars. I do use them but they don't line up with my abilities on my action bar which I usually lay out in the order I would press the buttons - do you know if there is a way to show the keybind numbers on top of the WeakAura buttons ?

Thanks Sunny! I'm not super familiar with using WA as an action bar replacement, so at the moment, I'm not sure if keybinds can be added on top of them.
