In this video, I start by discussing common problems such as fading and slicing the ball, and then delve into the importance of understanding the finish side of the golf swing. I introduce a drill to improve players' awareness of their forearm rotation during a swing, likening the right movements to hitting a forehand in tennis. I use tape and alignment sticks to demonstrate correct forearm and wrist positions through various stages of the swing, emphasizing a change in the through side. This drill, as I explain, is designed to help players achieve a more natural closing of the face, promoting a better finish and enhancing their ability to draw the golf ball effectively.

Hi Trevor, your explanation is unparalleled in any of the golf instruction that i have ever seen. It seems to me that you possess an innate ability to break the golf swing into very teachable segments and you are a very good at communicating them. Kudos to you and wish you a very successful teaching career.

I love your videos about the aspects of the golf swing. My specific problem appears to be my club head position out races the club hand position at or near impact. Thus I tend to hit fat (on most occasions) and occasionally thin the ball. I rarely, if ever, hit the ball off line. I have recently been practicing hitting my irons off a tee and have notice more success hitting the sweet spot on my irons. Do you have a video specifically about getting your hands ahead of the club head at impact.

Thanks so much for this! It sounds like a low point issue being too far back at impact. Now there are a lot of ways and reasons that low point can be back. I always start with setup and I’d make sure you don’t have pressure back and make sure you aren’t to bent over at address. I’ll attach a video here on how to control low point better as well below: Understanding Trail Side Dynamics for Perfect Low Point Control kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2OTnZ96aduFopI Thanks again the comment and feedback! I’d truthfully say most of it is all the same fell just a different setup and the club will work into a straight line release earlier due to setup and swing plane

Hi Trevor, watched this video again and watched another video that you show an alignment stick 45 degree in front of the golf for release. Which drill is better?
@tsgolf

It would depend on what your ball is doing. This vid here is more for the player who is struggling with fades/ slices.

Thanks again for the weekly master class Trevor. I fel like your teaching methods are the equivalent of Bob Dylan plugging in his electric guitar. The golf instruction world of folk singers are like "what the hell is this" and the kids are like "oh my god this is what I always wanted to hear"

Great video, very helpful! Two questions: 1. In previous video you mentioned on backswing, left hip should try keep still while only move right part. Is that the feeling? Hard to do it at the same time. 2. What’s the right feeling for starting the downswing? Should it be first letting everything fall together naturally with the club head and arm, or first pelvis / chest turn while keeping arms not moving as much as possible? Thanks again!
@tsgolf
@tsgolf 11 ай бұрын
So the feel will be #1 like lead is staying still (it won’t stay completely still but not allowing it to actually rotate / shift pressure into the trail side if important). In a stock model the lead side of the pelvis is for sure the initiator of the downswing (it can even happen before the club has gotten to the top in sound golf swings). The feel for a player can also be allowing the arms to fall. Hard to answer this for an individual players as it can differ depending where you are at in your game. Happy to help anyway I can if you have a vid somewhere I can peek at. Thanks, TS

Hi. The next step would be shifting the stick at the left heel line, so that the shaft apprear below the left shoulder at exit?

how do you stop pull hooking?
@tsgolf
@tsgolf 11 ай бұрын
Not sure without seeing your motion, setup, etc. I’d say a common flaw is having to much pressure on the trail foot in the downswing while trying to rotate. Send me over a swing if you’d like.
@ComoGolfFoundation

Tremendous as usual. But why wouldn’t you want the shaft in the through swin to stop at 45, rather than vertical?
@tsgolf
@tsgolf Жыл бұрын
Long term I would want that in more of a stock model. This is to help the player more so who is fading / slicing the golf ball. I’ll do an add on to this vid on where to take it next!
