first time I see a video of this guy , he knows how to play golf.He is totally right to use the toe from tight lies around the green. It is the best option.I use also an other method from tight lies around the green, the PM hinge and hold method. This method is not easy to learn and I pull it off because I am a low handicap player and I play every day.To master it well it took me long time so for the average player using the toe from tight lies is the easiest choice

This is one of the things I've been working on of late. It definitely helps. Also helps maintain a constant low point for better striking, as long as I don't sway. Enjoy your vids, Trevor. You've helped me really recognize and think about the mechanics of a proper swing and I've enjoyed the results of somewhat successfully implementing them in my swing. Your analytical explanations of these mechanics speaks to me. I appreciate and thank you for your time and effort. 🤟🏼

I think what you are describing is correct. However there are many of us out there, like me who have very wide chests and maybe lack the flexibility to make this move. I feel like my left shoulder is moving down but if I pit a club on my shoulders it is only tilting like 10 degrees
@tsgolf2 күн бұрын
Completely get where you are coming from here! There are more ways of doing this for sure! This would be just one of the ways/ options to do so. I agree tilting the spine and getting the trail side higher can help as well!

This is one of the drills and thoughts that changed my game, along with your Flighting Wedges 101 video and takeaway video. I shot my best round the other day, a 88 after 3 weeks of practicing your videos and drills (usually shoot 95-100, 3 putting problems, and course management still needs work).. I am still weak on the uneven lies, i didn't see any of your videos in your history on this topic but i will check again in your older history incase i missed it. Sorry I can't share your site with my friends yet, not until i win more of their money. 😀

TS i put a comment in last night but i deleted it because its wasnt about the lesson it was just telling you how good i thought you were, idk just didnt help any golfers watching, anyway ive just watch a video from last year maybe, part 4 arm series, i loved it, heres the question, which could be a little strange , I'm turning 60 this year with numerous injuries and lost so much mobility, but if i was the Tin Man in the wizard of Oz and i was swinging a golf club what parts of the body should i hear squeaking, and what parts do you think needs the most penatration oil? sorry this is how my brain works, if you had a minute after your done laughing haha, that said your analogy/ knowledge is 2nd to none. Thanks man.

How to start the downswing for a lefty
@tsgolf4 күн бұрын
Firstly I’d say I believe in reverse engineering and helping the player learn where they need to try and finish! Once that is achievable, then the player generally can start to make tweaks to the route (downswing, etc.). Happy to jump on a free consultation call with you to explain more if you’d like. So should you set your wrists early in the takeaway?
@tsgolf4 күн бұрын
I would say it depends on the players ability to create speed. Slower speeds I don’t mind seeing the wrist set kick in around P2-P2.5. For players with higher speeds I’d say generally it is a little bit later. Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything or have any questions!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a lot of people get weight shift and foot pressure incorrect. If you move laterally and have your lead foot pressed too early at least for me I don't rotate. I think we should think of it as shift the weight into a light lead foot and the lead foot pressing is what gets you around
@tsgolf9 күн бұрын
I couldn’t agree more! The is a big difference is mass and pressure shift! I really like the way you explained it here!
@creamabdul-jabbar67228 күн бұрын
@@tsgolf yeah it's a rhythm. I think it's also why people don't turn well in the back swing. They plant too hard to prevent swaying. The locking out is why I think people get disconnected. Atleast for me once whichever leg is fully planted is when rotating stops if it's not done correctly. My sequence thought is light on the trail initiate my turn right before the transition is when I feel the trail pressure then it's light in the lead allow everything to collect like a sense of falling or lowering and plant the lead to turn. People don't allow their swings to collect because it doesn't feel fast but that's where the true speed is and where you get the speed whipping to the club head. A lot of peoples g force in their swings never truly reach the club head it's somewhere grip to mid shaft

Such a challenge for me, at 6' 7" and wing span that is around 6' 3" and wrist to floor over 42". Every instructor has a different opinion on how I should set up and how I should swing. Now that I am approaching 60 and have some physical challenges in shoulders, knees and hips developing it is getting more challenging. Would come see you but we are on opposite coasts.

The hand path on the practice swing goes way out from the body as you freeze and say you’re gonna keep the wrist loaded. Then during the actual swing the hands go way lower. It’s kind of confusing. Is it just a feel you try to get?

For the life of me I can't stop the right leg from kicking forward lately. Think one cause is that I lose most of my ankle and knee bend when I'm at the top and leg too extended. I try to keep some bend but still do it. is there a common cause of why one would get their right knee too far back during back swing ?
@tsgolf14 күн бұрын
It could surely be getting the leg to extended in the backswing, or a lot of time starting with to much weight in the toes at address. We need to have space to be able to move pressure around back and forward. It is also going to tie into a large amount of the direction we apply force. I think the problem a lot of deal with is just trying to keep pressure back!
@robertscalise704314 күн бұрын
Trevor, how do we produce that speed with the arms hands, without “pulling” down
@tsgolf14 күн бұрын
Speeding up the backswing. Creating hand speed at P5 area isn’t always a bad thing. It is where the majority of your players produce the most speed! There are two ways to generate more speed, time/ length or overall force! Some like time and length and others prefer to get more energy in the system earlier! Hope this helps! TS

Hi TS, love this video. It makes things really clear. I'm hitting my driver too high. Could it be that I am doing too much ferris wheel? Should I try to do more merry go round to flight the ball lower?
@tsgolf14 күн бұрын
There is a very good chance your upper center is getting ahead of your lower body if drives are getting piped up. The solution could be more Ferris wheel in the backswing, but we’d also want to see how the shoulder rotations are being presented in the downswing. Happy to help if you have any questions! My email is [email protected] if you’d like to chat! Thanks, TS
