I that’s exactly how I started. I bought a new one with everything you could possibly imagine for a $100. I used it on a few screens and 2 days later was upgrading to a real 1 color press. I quickly learn that the 1 color press is more of a starter. I highly recommend starting off with a Chinese 4 color press. It’s $180 on amazon but there is plenty of room for learning and growing into the press. Keep up the videos. Missed you the last few days.

Sorry about that sometimes I have a lot going on I try to spend 1 day on the weekends editing as many videos as I can and when I can't do that I usually stay up all night during the week doing it. Both of my boys are now playing football one on Friday night the other Saturday mornings. Hopefully I will be able to keep up.

This is such a good unit for silkscreen and exposing. To bad there is no companies supplying screens for it. There is one but they hella expensive compared to regular screens.

Thanks for this video! I actually just bought one yesterday, off of Craigslist for $100 bucks. New in box, came with all the old ink and a shirt lol. I plan on replacing the emulsion paper and ink before I start at it. Thanks again.

Just curious with the yudu is it possible to make heat transfer sheet to take straight to the heat press. And what kind of vinyl do you use? I use to have an online shop where I did my artwork and submitted it and I use to have a greeting card shop so I have graphics, slogans, logos and things I've created over the years just doing nothing that I would love to see on T's. So to do it myself would be great but I would settle for designing for my prints too. Making my own transfers... Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks for sharing such valuable information. I got a used Yudu, I am noticing my screens are not getting exposed, I think I might to change the light bulb. Have you ever changed the light bulb of your Yudu?
@TshirtChick
@TshirtChick 5 жыл бұрын
No, I never had to change them during the time i used them. Are you burning for 10 mins? I had to burn for a full 10 mins using Ulano QX-1 Emulsion. I also use the Ryonet Emulsion and burned for 10 mins and that is what worked for me.

I never used the yudu as a printer only as an exposure unit. I had the screens around and never used them. I don't remember what I ended up doing with them. If I find them I will post on my community wall or something in case someone is interested in them.

I never printed 1 shirt using the Yudu so there wasn't a reason to take the cover sheet off. I only used the exposure unit part of it to expose my screens. I'm pretty sure I said that in the video. I only used the pallet to protect the glass when not in use.

Why not just put the shirt on upside down just like you would a large machine. You wouldn't put the shirt on collar in, you put it on and print the design upside down?? Just wondering

I have a yudu and it never seems to expose my image correctly.
@TshirtChick
@TshirtChick 6 жыл бұрын
I never had any problems with mine I never used it as a yudu only as an exposure unit so I had to alter it for use with regular screen printing screens and I used a board that I had cut to the right size with a few thick/heavy magazines on top to put pressure on the screen so that it laid flat against the film and glass to get the best exposure I could. I even got perfect halftones when I used it. IDK why you don't get good results.

what kind of printer do you use to print that large 13x19?
@SCUUBDO
@SCUUBDO 7 жыл бұрын
Hello. You need a wide format printer like the Epson 1430. If you have a larger platen and screens, then you can get a 24 inch printer. Some people get an all black ink system, but I did not and have had no problems.

@@dexterfletcher1396 I don't have to know you just as you don't know me. You see a person here to help people and you post a comment that is closed minded. I started my shop with just a 15 inch vinyl cutter and 15x15 heat press so I know how to improvise and make the best of not much until I can upgrade. Why put limits on things?
