That alligator being there and doing what it was doing is either the devs of this mod doing some next level trolling, or a reference to Floridan wildlife. Maybe both. Only thing we can say for certain is that it fought better than the Soviets in this mission ever did. Nothing out of the ordinary in this mission. It could have had more scripts to make your life harder, but it's just a simple head-to-head combat with a more aggressive AI. These flipped campaigns might be the perfect bridge in difficulty between the RA2 & YR singleplayer and Mental Omega, since it features the overly aggressive AI, yet it seems to lack all the endless scripted attacks and enemy reinforcements, and the maps aren't designed to make your life as hard as possible. Can't say that for sure yet, but anyone who can beat these campaigns can probably do decently in Mental Omega, even outside of the lowest difficulty. Anyways, good video as always, looking forward to the next one.

I would agree with your assessment, as someone who generally isn't an RTS star but has played both Flipped Missions and Mental Omega. I can't speak for MO's lowest difficulty setting now, since I know they've tinkered with it in recent updates, but for the most part in 3.3.4 I was able to do early missions on 'normal' and usually had to scale back to 'easy' later on. Flipped Missions in turn is mostly just dealing with how the mod author wants you to tackle the missions, aside from a few cases of 'guess what I was thinking here' in some missions, the campaign is overall quite doable even if you aren't the best.

@@unovayellow6953 We'd pretty much need it remastered for that to happen. I can't see EA putting a game from 2000 on Steam. Remember that RA2 doesn't run properly out of the box nowadays, you have to make an effort to get it running error free. Also can't see the workshop subscribe thing working as RA2 and YR mods generally use CNCnet/DTA clients nowadays to have their mods run without affecting the base game.. and in the past similarly was done with the XCC launcher. Workshop works for Remastered because most of the Tiberium Dawn and RA1 mods are things like ore growth rate, zoom levels and AI improvements.. things that if you're careful won't conflict. While RA2/YR mods are.. Mental Omega, Red Resurrection, Rise of the East, etc. big mods that affect quite a lot.

Advice for handling Destroyers' anti-sub weapons: spread them out. IIRC three Osprey runs are enough to take out a sub from full health.

Is it just my impression or the Grizzly tank seems to be even more disappointing then usual ? I resorted to just mass infantry and slowly push southbound, repairing and garrison each building and then grind the enemy down, fast elite rank and self-healing machine gunners seems quite effective against everything.

I thought it would be the soviet mission but you play as the allies. So in this mission you would be defending and repelling the soviet invasion that would normally happen, but this is interesting too

I have played flipped mission on normal and my head is literally on fire once i finish the campaign, here let me give you some piece of advice 1.Save is your best friend, save your game constantly because A.I will try and ruined your day in any given chances 2.G.I are OP in large number with sandbag, literally melting any ground unit to dust 3.Never leave your base defenseless (organize the defense is your first priority in every mission) in both campaign 4.If advance into enemy territory, make sure to have both anti-air and ground unit backing each other up 5.Think quickly, because there's little time and one mistake will make you reloading save or restart the whole mission That's about it, good luck

As you have noticed, the maps are similar to the originals' designs, but slightly altered (usually larger). Sometimes there will be little goodies hidden on the map, such as a lone Oil Derrick, a crate (usually cash, could also be armor or speed), an abandoned building, etc.

I find it kinda odd how the spy exits with two GI's who are completely frozen and unusable. I know the idea is to prevent the spy from being killed on sight, but it just isn't really possible at that point in the mission. Maybe instead having three spies come out would be nice, maybe even provide some early bonus's or scouting if your really good at micro managing, could help relieve some of the intense difficulty this mission and its others provide.

I just set the compatibility to WinXp and admin rights and it runs! You can also install the cnc launcher which will be definitely playable.
