Serylda's Grudge is built on Lucian primarily due to the extra 20 ability haste paired with armor pen; with ER + SG at level 13, you have enough CDR to reset your E with E -> Auto -> Q -> Auto. With LDR, you have around 2 seconds of no dash. Since you can do short dashes to auto-reset and such, SG actually increases your DPS by a noticable amount and offers extra utility.

Is that comment on league's engine true? While one of the early riot employees (sergey titov) did make big rigs, i don't think the engine is the same. I'm pretty sure he joined the team after the initial development of the game began. His (in)experience may explain why so many of the weird bugs occur considering the state of his previous game.
