Just wondering how many of LeBrun's 33 sample are from Eastern conference teams. Think about it, the Oilers had to survive in the same conference with both the last two Cup champions. Does the East have the same Tampa Bay it had 3 years ago? Are Boston and the Rangers really built for the playoffs? Dallas beat Vegas and the Avs, and really tested Edmonton -- could the Panthers have come through that? I seriously doubt it. Eastern Conference bias serves Eastern conference audiences, but it doesn't serve the question well.

Truly suprising results on Coaches view on who's gonna win. So strong on Panthers favor. Its gonna be much closer, who's gonna win. But one player, how good he ever is, like McDavid, is not gonna win the strong team like Panthers. In some matches he is taken out. Its then up to, what other players can produce. Draisatl will score goals, but who else? That solves the series.

@@people3865 What I'm saying is look at what the Oilers came through too. 28 straight successful penalty kills? 14% better powerplay than the 'Cats in these playoffs? That's what special teams dominance looks like. How many crosschecks and slashes do you think the Cats can risk? And if you look at the regular season since November 15th, the Oilers and Panthers have exactly the same number of wins, losses, and OT losses, but Edmonton has a better goal differential. This is not going to be easy.

Marner is not as good as Ryan Nugent- Hopkins and has twice the salary cap cost. That’s the problem with the Leafs. Drastically overpaying for underperforming players. Now they don’t have any options left with Marner even though they think they do.

The Leafs current cap situation is already greasy. If there's no way of getting better properly, and that means shedding at least one of the BIG contracts to utilize that money for D-Men & a goalie, then you might as well write the 24/25 season off & wait until next summer to make the moves you KNOW you can make with another $22 Mil available in cap space with Marner & Tavares off the books.
