We saw the old senators in their d zone last game, trapped and unable to leave the zone... However having Linus in net, who's seems to be in complete control at all times vs Korpisalo who was always all over the place, on his back, trying to make some miraculous save... the difference is so refreshing...

Ullmark has looked fantastic so far. So refreshing

Korpisalo wouldve let in 8-10 goals last night

I can't wait for the Bruins fans to see how Korpi plays if Swayman holds out into the regular season or is traded. Most of them think Korpi will hold the fort. They have no idea, haha!

ulmark is a ultra top goalie and i still can not understand that trade. Ottava is a lucky team. now the have a great goalie

So IMO I would love for the Sabres to do a special "He's back" video for Ruff. He is my childhood as although I am a die hard Leafs fan I remember Pat Quinn (RIP) AND Lindy Ruff barking back and forth at each other during games and Quinn wasnt the type to do that as he was typically quiet but u could tell how upset he was by how hard he was chomping that gum.

Does anyone ever say that the Bruins defensive play looked good the last few years because of their 2 goalies? Everybody believes it's the other way around, but I don't think it is that cut and dry. Also, Ottawa's D was not that bad last year (yes, not the best at all, but not the worst by any means). All advanced stats show that it was the goaltending that let the team down in most cases. Fourpisalo and Foursberg let in a goal on one of the first 2 shots of the game in 22 games last year, a league record. Ullmark should allow them to finish with 10-20 more points this season and definitely fighting for a playoff spot. Cheers

I believe Ullmark has the potential to be for the Sens as Thatcher Demko has been for the Canucks. That said, overuse of Demko, during the 2021-22 season, resulted in his having become quite injury-prone the following one and having had to miss almost 3 months due to a series of knee problems.

We have a backup…un’ike van

@@jimbodangle178 Forsberg is the Sens’ main backup although with Demko out, who the main backup to Silovs is TBD.
@jimbodangle178Ай бұрын
@@wainber1 demko has never had a reliable back up. Forsberg is. You can easily do a 50/30 or 55/25 split
@wainber1Ай бұрын
@@jimbodangle178 Forsberg has been inconsistent, but at least has had sufficient stamina to start anywhere from 20 to 30 regular-season games/season. TBD, with Connor Hellebuyck for the last 10 seasons having started so often 60 or more regular-season games, how soon he too will, if you ever does, become about injury-prone as Demko. Last offseason the Winnipeg Jets acquired Eric Comrie and Kaapo Kahkonen off free agency, with a former having played before the Jets, but the ladder having last season played to March with the Sharks but after that with the Devils. Whether either backup to Hellebuyck will provide sufficient quality goaltending to relieve the load of Hella buck remaining TBD, particularly with the last nine playoff games the Jets have played having featured at least four goals allowed, including the last five during which they have allowed these five in each.

Although I hope he will receive a suspension for that dirty hit on Stuetzle, pretty much anything goes considering how inconsistent the NHL Player Safety Department has for so long been.
@MattySpadezАй бұрын
As a habs fan, its great to have a gritty player that can answer the call on situations the refs miss or misjudge and protect teammates without fear. That being said. He needs some disciplin, and that hit was unnecessary. I wouldnt dissagree with a 1 to 2 game suspension. He needs to get back to playing actual hockey.

My worry? Ulmarks first appearance was only a 1/2 game - aaaand...he faced 29 shots. That's what needs to be addressed. :)

The Xajai (or however his name is spelled) needs to be suspended. Its a pre season game and you're doing garbage like that?? He needs to sit for 2 games.

At least a game. He's been playing reckless.

As a habs fan, I agree. He needs to cool off and actually play hockey. I wouldnt disagree with a suspension.

@@MattySpadez wow. You're one of the few Habs fans that's reasonable. Awesome. If Tkachuk or someone else on the Sens did that, I'd also want to see them sit.
