See the difference is that Martin St-Louis said, we need to use the preseason to get ready for the season. We need to use this time to get active and we needed to be ready a week before preseason... Toronto is saying, bah pre season who cares??? And then wonders why their players play like they dont give a fuck... Totally two different cultures and I prefer being on the side with the winning mindset.

the leafs are playing with something to prove, the Canadiens aren't. Bottom line. it's been always about Development and Progression of our prospects. and young Core. that's the mindset of this Current Management Team. no different here in Preseason...
@Kris-bx5qj2 ай бұрын
it'll be the same approach as the season starts. that's how you know the Rebuild is being done right, not just deviating from the Long term plan, JUST to make playoffs as 8th seed. lol. if it happens it happens, but Kent and Jeff have a plan and are pretty set on sticking with it.

@@Kris-bx5qj The two battle-of-Ontario preseason games were very close, in stark contrast to how badly the Oilers have played in their preseason games, with the Alberta team having allowed six goals in each of them. The Leafs have only allowed seven goals over 2 such games even though I haven't been very impressed with very many of their prospects so far. There can't be just be one or two Scottie Barnes on skates for the Leafs to win those tight games.

If you’re referring to the one asking Berube if he’s concerned about losing two games in preseason then yeah it was a donkey question. It’s Preseason!! Those who know are already aware of the questions she’ll ask throughout the season and I look forward to seeing Coach rolling his eyes at her

Of Canada's NHL teams, the Habs and Oilers are the only ones to have, from the 2019-20 season, to have so far won playoff series in consecutive seasons. Perhaps this season the Canucks will become the third such Canadian team but, like so much in life, pretty much anything goes.

This comment doesn't make any sense unless you are a blind hater. Even if you were to grant that Slaf was the weakest pick in years (which I don't), it doesn't follow that he is a 'huge bust'. I'm not going to make any particular claims about Slafkovsky or his game, but he is, quite objectively, doing just fine.
