No way, go with the hot hand. I think Pickard would have benefitted Toronto much better than Samsonov or Woll. He was a Leafs property not long ago.

Like the guy but no damn way, Van has his number and that's that. I'd start Campbell before going down that road again. Canucks would be crazy to swap out Shilovs, if it wasn't for him.......

@@patrickkasper3573they also beat him twice and destroyed him in the regular season. That first game was horrendous from Skinner and led to the collapse. Let Pickard have another start as he wasn’t the liability last game.

What argument do you want if you’re not going to acknowledge his poor playoff performances over two seasons and you want to ignore his regular season against the same team. How do you evaluate the man so I can understand why you think he should get the call for game 5? Please share

@@barstar888 would love too, and Skinner has been awful and the right decision is not to play him and to play Pickard. I’ve miss read this I think, I thought the comment was saying they want Pickard in not Skinner, my bad.

Holy crap that would be the dumbest logic I've ever heard of it they do that. Skinner mentality has beyond proven he doesn't have it between the ears when he pressure is high, and Picks has that ability. End of story.

There is no way that Marner put oates up to that statement. It just seems like oates is put off by the idea that one guy is to blame for the debacle that is the leafs

you gotta go with the Hot goalie. Look at Vancouver, they couldve just gone back to DeSmith after Demko went down with injury but Silovs rose to the occasion and its his to lose. Skinner lost his and now its Pickards to lose

Go with Pickard for the rest of the series. If the Oil go through to the next round give Skinner the start in game 1 and see how that goes

I don’t know if anyone working with Oates has actually improved their game. I look at players like Scheifele and it seems like the longer he’s worked with him, the worse he’s got. In 18/19 he was crazy good in the playoffs and he seems to have got less committed to having that level of play since then. And saying that if a guy is F1 means he shouldn’t assess the situation on the ice and adjust because it’s not his responsibility in a playoff game is nuts. You can’t be like “aww sorry dude, I would have helped but that wasn’t my guy, I needed to sit back and wait to get involved in the play until the guy F1 is supposed to be covering gets down the ice”. It’s the playoffs. Deal with the most dangerous situation and someone else will cover “your guy”.

Why in Gods name would the Oilers go back to Skinner after a solid win with Picks? Knoblauch doesn’t seem like the type to not reward performance.

Very weak assumption by Hayes that Demko will just come in and automatically stand on his head. Barely played in three months. Not only is he out of physical playing routine, even more importantly, he is out of the mental routine of the goaltender...hard to believe Jamie was a goalie sometimes when he does not call these non-goalies out.
