@Rvench Dave was a pretty great lead guitarist until about the mid 90s I'd say

Dread Fugitive Mind's without a shadow of a doubt one of the best songs from Megadeth. I remember I heard it for the first time in 2001, 'til today it still surprises me. The solo by Al Pitrelli is insane, fantastic, with a unique feeling, and one of the best solos from Megadeth alongside Tornado of Souls. Al Pitrelli had a short but left his mark.

Been following Al's career ever since he had that band Widowmaker with Dee Snider. The guy laid down some of the tastiest, most melodic solos I ever heard!

Al is the reason I bought a Gibson Explorer. Saw this man with Megadeth in 2001 on the World Needs a Hero Tour at Fox Theatre in Atlanta (never forget it) I was standing at the edge of stage, I couldn’t have been 3 feet from him when he did the solo “Dread the Fugitive Mind” in front of me. Made it look so easy. Blown away to say the least. SOLD! I think he was the most “soulful” guitar player in a metal sense Dave ever had with him. He can play his ass off. Pff. Was he the best guitarist Megadeth ever had? probably not. Was he a good fit for Megadeth? Probably not. However, he’s my favorite out all of the guitarist that were in Megadeth. Met him at his bus afterwards and he invited me to Waffle House. After all this was Atlanta. Class Act.
