Say I have two watches, left and right wrist. I do a workout but stop around half way through just long enough to save then start a new workout on my left wrist, continuing with the same workout on my right. When I finish and look at the sum of the "two" workouts from my left wrist and that from my right, in general* they are NOT the same. TSS is therefore not a valid training metric.

Have you ever used any of the Garmin head units? If so,what's your opinion about the recovery recommendations from the Garmin head unit? I just purchased the Garmin 1030 plus last week and it's advising me to take 60 hours sometimes 88 hours to recover from a easy endurance ride.Is this a mistake or does the unit need more riding data metrics over a period of time to figure my heart rate physiology ? Thanks for reading.

TP and my Wahoo differ on TSS

Double check that you have your FTP set the same on both your Wahoo and in TrainingPeaks and THEN see if they don't match. Bet that will fix them!

why after today and other rides am i getting a tss score of higher than 100 for a ride less than 1 hour? today my ride was 1hr 50min and more than 200 tss,is was a hard ride but thought it was not possible to go over 100 in 1 hour?

I bet you have your threshold (FTP) set too low. Since TSS is calculated off of FTP when you are belting out Above Average TSS rides this is usually why. Do a field test or adjust your FTP higher and I bet that fixes everything. Also see our Normalized Power FTP video
