Tsubasa's DARK Power Was a Blessing in Disguise

Tsubasa's arc was one of the best parts of Metal Masters. Also, his friendship with Yuu was really wholesome, them going from rivals in Fusion to having the dynamic of a big brother and his little bother was really nice.

His relationship with yu really was great especially when gingkas dad wanted to remove tsubasa from the team and yu stood up for him.

I kinda like that Ryuga literally came to help Tsubasa. Like yeah, it was to repay a debt and he doesn't exactly make his intentions clear so Gingka thinks he meant harm, but it shows how his character changed. He could've destroyed Hyoma but instead he came, gave Tsubasa advice, fought Gingka, gave him a heads up, and left Julian to him, whereas S1 Ryuga probably would've wanted to destroy Julian just for having a left-rotating Bey. Ryuga's development is great. And then of course, Tsubasa's amazing Arc as well. Great video as always!

Yes, but it's strange when it comes to Ryuga's character progression. I feel like his furious persona (fury) would have been a better successor to that of Fusion than Masters. I still think a Ryuga vs. Julian battle would have been amazing, but I understand why the writers didn’t follow through with it. There’s a continue screen showing Julian and Ryuga- the only time in Beyblade history where characters are featured on a continue screen- but they don’t end up fighting. I’m guessing the battle was cut. Ryuga vs. Damian would have been hilarious.

Since Tsubasa’s my comfort/favorite character that didn’t have a backstory I decided to make one for him. Since we found out he was an undercover spy for the WBBA I figured he’d have to have a reason besides that one memory. I absolutely love the story they gave Tsubasa and I really wish his story continued in metal fury along with Yu. They really should’ve been legendary bladers:(

Thank you for this video. Ever since the MFB resurgence on Twitter, so many were making fun of Tsubasa for his dark power and his losing streaks without paying attention for the reasons and purpose behind it. It’s an international cup and when on a team representing a whole country, losing would be a heavy matter, especially when you already view yourself as a loser for losing to Ryuga in the previous session and to an extend, failed his job and task given to him. And we can see how it’s an insecurity that roots deep ever since his childhood, which is why the dark power is both a curse and a blessing to his development. And even so it’s a really fine line between light and dark, the show even spell out to us that the dark Tsubasa is also the real Tsubasa, the secret spy Tsubasa who needs to do everything to complete his role, only twisted more by the dark influence and makes him much more destructive. I honestly appreciate his arc about acceptance that ugly side of yourself and overcoming hardships. I just hope that they do more with dark power in Fury and give him an arc where he actually can control and harness it tho 😢 Side note and animal fact: a bald eagle needs 5 years minimum before they can have that signature white head, so kid!Tsubasa probably was being a sore loser for 5 years before he successfully coax his eagle to fledge. It talks a lot about patience and his character lol

He was possessed but he didnt lose control over ldrago until his battle against kyoya whereas tsubasa lost control in almost every match
