season 2 was announced last year when the anime ended and when season 1 was first announced i didnt take as long to air as now(most likely because they mesed up with not introducing the heros and the demons) but we should get a trailer for season 2 any day now and as a web novel reader i can assure you that season 2 will have a very satisfying fight against Sophia (also her last one).
