I back this game, and I recommend Glorantha: The Gods War if you like asymmetrical conquest/area control game.

Will the dragons, children of lion, and cyber samurai all be red? Will that mean only 1 red faction will be able to be picked and not all 3 of them?

LoftOfTheUniverse they will all be colors that will be able to be distinguished side by side. As the series progresses into future factions (26 planned so far), some of the colors will have to overlap a little

Is it possible to get multible turns per phase when the initiative order changes?

No. If you are taking your turn and you move up on the Initiative Track, you flip your Initiative Marker over to indicate that you've taken your turn during that phase no matter where you are in the Turn Order.

38:00 the creators of the game says the for the queen is rounded down while the on screen text says "rounded up", which one is it?

I would say its rounded up and that's his error

43:10 "I have 4 combat actions" doesn't he have 3, per the card at the bottom right? Am I mistaken?

Praetor Kamahl yes. This was a mistake during the game. You’re correct in that I only had 3 actions. I was referencing the incorrect card.

I'm a little concerned that the Cyber scored 3 points at the start of his turn based on where he was positioned while other factions had to work much harder to achieve their objectives...

Magic Jerk it happens it’s only 2 points. But it happens sometimes. It’s a tactical decision for the cyber samurai to place their home zone near the zones they need to control.

I'm on the fence for an all- in pledge. My concerns are that it's too long and the asymmetric nature will be make it hard to get to the table (kind of like Root). Thoughts?

You can play as many rounds as you want (So if you want a short game id recommend 2-3) and the asymmetry comes from faction bonuses. Root is far more asymmetric than this in my opinion, as most of the stuff in here is shared (action drafts, faction missions etc.) while root's factions are very specific in what they want to do.

As I've progressed with my tabletop games. I tend to make house rules for shorter or longer games. Example as Grfield said you can lessen or increase rounds. Myself, I think I'm going to add new ideas to the game mechanics to change ending conditions.
