TSW3 | Niddertalbahn - finally a good TSW product? |

A 3rd party addon for TSW3 by TSG, the 'Niddertalbahn' traverses a rural dieselized line closely following the Nidda river through gorgeous farmland, marsh and foothills. This route along the northeastern outskirts of Frankfurt are hands down the best scenery in the history of Train Sim World.

This is why I'm excited to see where SimRail ends up with it's modding tools once they get released. It should be much more of a spiritual successor to train sim classic when the community can create routes and rolling stock.

Did not have time to watch the complete video, until now a perfect video as always. However, at least for me, I have to completly disagree with the criticism of the price. The route looks perfect, and I would buy this route instantly for around 40€, however I would never buy a DTG route for 40€. And that's why I don't have TSW3 and sadly can't support TSG. But definetly, I would rather pay 40€ for this small and perfect route from TSG than 40€ for a "long" but lacking route from DTG.

The P/Passenger brake setting for freight wagons is used for short trains, where the brake characteristics of a shorter/lighter train are preferred. Generally speaking, you can release brakes faster

I would like to see train simulators being looking realistic. This is not about to look good or bad. Run 8 has outdated graphic but it has realistic feel too. SimRail' vibe is the same. With all the TSW' potential, this is the first time with that feel, for me. The sum of very details has to be right. No copy-pasted excuses anymore (yeah yeah time will tell). Great video. BR

Looks awesome, especially the functioning 628 cab! Even though I'm a Trainz person, I have the Trainz version which is free and it's somehow modernized while the 628 model in Trainz has a custom interior, but it doesn't function. About beets, I love beets since when I was a kid! :P

What you see in 56:09 are the counterweights for the signals. They are connected with the signals by wire ropes. From a railway signal box personal serviced with a lever the signal. That means, that in real you can see the counterweights moving when the signal is moving. Sorry for my English.

When I saw they were going to be releasing a route with the 628, one of my favorite trains, I was so worried it would suck like so many other routes lately. I'm soooo happy with the quality of this. This must be the standard we hold DTG too, though I'm sure they'll continue to release dogshit probably for $60 soon

Good review of a very nice product. About the price, isn't this reflected in the quality and number of custom assets? However, those descriptive station buildings are probably tied to this particular route/era, and can at most be re-used on similar routes in the same general region. New track, not too detailed, perhaps a bit too bland still in the ballast. New signals, some switch lanterns, derails and other hardware that can be used in other routes. Catenary still not to my liking, perhaps when TSG builds an electrified route we will get a better looking catenary. Pretty full schedule supplied. This route begs for a VR212 and Silberlinge/Umbauwagen and even a BR798 'Schienenbus' to model it in the earlier DB era?

Regarding names and name changes here: "Hess-Nass" and "Oberhess" are abbreviations for "Hessen-Nassau", which is a historic region, and "Oberhessen" (Upper Hesse) which is also a regional descriptor. Name changes often come from town mergers that occured since then. Sometimes, entirely new towns will be created (in an administrative sense) out of existing towns and villages. These sometimes take the name of the largest previously independent town, or might have a completely new name none of their constituents have.

More importantly after updating the narration such as during training modules with voice audibly telling you what to do is gone. I enjoyed cutting off that person by doing what they're telling me to do before it was finished speaking.

I'd love to get it but it's also way too overpriced for me at 340,00₺. Also the engine sound is reused from the 612 which has a Cummins QSK19 whereas this has the MTU engine. Sounds good nonetheless, just the fact that it's not accurate is annoying

Just want to say your streams are really good. The streams are informative and watchable just like honest opinion because dovetail embasseders are shit just says it is good. Rubbish. Nice route is all I can say, as I'm not a huge fan of European or passenger service but One of my Biggest grips about DTG's that they do on every Route is their Scale system is so Wack as everything looks way to Large and that's because there are Never any people just walking around yeah automobiles help but to a minimum, all those tree's look Giant size I can't get over it, Passenger Stations aren't the problem it's everywhere else that needs it along with wildlife. Just a heads up on some of the New content you talk about isn't new as the Unreal Engine has its own pre-built in game engine already built models and same goes for the first person view mode that 41:48 green mud tires wagon is one of them built in assets as a couple of other games have that same wagon trailer in them, as that wagon is out of place detailed more than anything shows it's True. Unreal Game Engine has a total of 2750 different in game assets that have free use to them just saying! 😂

No, this wasn't in TS at any point. You may be thinking of Wutachtalbahn. I agree about these first look vids. Too much attention to minute texturing, and I tend to leave the vid when the station analysis begins. I want to see the route and train being used; driven. That's how I'd like to 'see' the route, rather than just moving station to station on the map.
