Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I am super excited to share with you my latest project: upgrading my "Tamiya TT-02 Subaru Impreza" with the "RWD Drift Performance Conversion Kit". I've been looking forward to this upgrade for a while now, and I can't wait to see how it improves the performance of my car. So, let's get started and see how this conversion kit transforms my TT-02!

Oh noooo, please, no toe in! Try toe out! 1° is fine. You can see that the front axle isn't turning the car controllable, it is only braking the car. And, the steering isn't even close of beeing centered. I don't wanne be rude. But try using a gyro. And maybe you can find a local drift track with people who can explain the rc drifting a little bit better to you. :)

Thanks, Ill try a toe out next run. Been doing a bit more research since the video. Purchased a camber ruler, and an OMG G4 gyro. Maybe it will drift in the next video, we will have to see

You’re definitely going to want more negative camber and toe out not in the difference will be night and day

You need some shock pliers buddy, you'll mark up your shafts using pliers. I always like to use some grease on the shaft threads too to stop the threads tearing the seals. I use the same shocks on my ta05 v2. Nice looking with a nice action. I've seen this rwd drift conversion before and looking to see the result at the end

Thanks! Shock pliers, I’ll look for some. I did cringe a bit myself using them, but it was what I had. Lately been gathering up new measuring tools, and learning a lot as I’m recording part two.

i've fitted all the other parts of this kit but i cant suss the steering out, where to cut, what parts don't get used, how to connect the top suspension mount without the top diff housing ??????????????

Check the video at the four minute mark, and you’ll see I have to put the original diff housing back on. It was really confusing for me too, knowing which old parts still get used.

Thanks for showing this. Installing the same conversion kit on my tt02 and this is helping. At 10:25 that purple ring is suppose to INSIDE the blue ring in the middle of the copper thread on the shocks…I.e. the piece you twist to adjust where the top of the spring sits. Idk exactly what it does though, maybe makes it so it can’t loosen as easily.

So have you managed to get it drifting yet? I just brought tt-02d 2 weeks ago for my first electric rc and was disappointed in how much hop ups you need to get it to drift. now looking at buying proper a rwd drift rc.

I finished and filmed the build. Haven’t tested it yet but beginning of vid is in production. Hope to wrap up this week and post soon after. I know I’m a bit slow for KZbin, but it will get posted ✌️
