Thanks for uploading this. It was good to hear a rider's video diary of a days events at the TT, especially as it seemed to be a catalogue of bad luck & ill omens. Props to Cam for continuing after all of that - I would've packed it in after witnessing Jamie's horrific crash...

Glad you caught sprocket early. My clutch lines went out twice in two weeks, my Honda car, steering wheel went out twice in two weeks, luckily I was on 15 mph road each time, other than that I was taking trips to Gainesville and they had construction all over Orlando and Gainesville at the time where is like side-by-side traffic at 70 miles an hour and no emergency lands. Crazy...

Stuart Garner really should have been fined and imprisoned for not only what he did to the Employees Pension Fund, but allowing these four top draw riders to compete on sub standard equipment that may well have ended in tragedy. All four riders suffered dangerous mechanical situations at various stages with the Norton.

Once a race day decides to go ugly on you repeatedly, despite your best efforts🤕, it's time to pull up a chair, fetch a LARGE BEER and hotdog and become a spectator for the rest of the day. I wonder how they would do that? It is a very fine line between pleasure and pain. A bit bizarre but it is the danger that kind of attracts these people to the TT, including the spectators. It's a cliche I know but cheating death creates the attraction. The adrenaline. Most of get a little taste of it sometime in our life. Why do we exceed the speed limit? Why do we go hang gliding or hundreds of other risky activities. Yeah, this is extreme but they are not suicidal surprisingly. They are are extreme risk takers but very very skillful at avoiding disaster. I don't believe there "balls" are any bigger than ordinary people. They have the same level skills as Ronnie O'sullivan has in snooker but a mistake won't kill him. If they were too fearful before they raced then they would be a disaster waiting to happen. These incidents often result in racers who are ambivalent or have lost the drive for adrenaline and enjoyment, deciding to retire. It happened to me, I got a bit blunt in my riding and judgement made a mistake and injured my shoulder. I decided that my abilities were no longer up to scratch and preemptively decided that it would be stupid to continue. It's a decision everyone has to decide fro themselves. I have the highest respect for Cameron Donald as a racer and a man.
