I'll never forget my first TT. I was buzzing for days. So much fun but intense as well. Great race,, definitely separates the men from the boys. It also turns your balls to steel.

@@AnakinSkywalker-cc7th Bray hill, Ballagary (Ballascary) Crosby jump, Gorse Lea, Cronk-y-vody straight, Mollyneux (which is right after it) Handleys (a chicane in which riders graze their leathers on a hedge then wall!) kirk michael, Rhencullen (also right after that) ballaugh bridge, Ballacry which is the biggest jump (MUST GO) Lezaryre churchtown, Ramsey, and pretty much anywhere else on the mountain such as Creg-ny-baa or Hillberry (One of the turns that you could literally touch the rider although not recommended). Almost forgot, the legendary start line!

It stops the riders temptation to look at it. They know by gear and revs what they are doing in a corner. Looking at the speedo is just a distraction that can cause a crash so they all tape it over.

i think its also because they have aftermarket gears, the ratios would be off so it would show the wrong speed and cause all sorts of problems. as 0Zolrender0 said, they know by gear and revs/sound the speed theyre going, so its better to just hide the false speed reading and be done with it.
