Another good activation if you have upper back pain on one side while cycling, is to take a rubber band and stretch it straight out left to right, it will contract your upper back, it will also help with rounded shoulders and keep your back tighter/stronger and more stable on the bike.

I think I just had a horrible realization as to how gifted pros are at their discipline. My body does NOTHING near that when I stretch, its a fight and struggle, and I hate it. I do it, I foam roll, my body just doesn't move that freely. I'm actually jealous.

Its Simon Core strength is much more important than we think! That’s why he’s able to stay so stable and go at those high speeds when time trialing!
