as far i know this lens is available in Sony E mount. So why did you choose m42 mount ??

I just checked ttartisan official website, it only has m42 and leica m mount, you'll need an adapter to mount it on sony e

Thanku very informative....so am i right in saying if i use this lens on a crop sensor apsc it would be equivalent to 150mm, plus the extra distance from the sensor created by the adaptor??

that's right, but 100mm full frame lens would cause some serious shaking, so unless your apsc camera has IBIS, I wouldn't recommend it on apsc.

If you're not familiar with manual lens, I'd recommend starting with the 50mm, it'll be easier to focus and less shaky, and the composition is easier too.

Does Dynamic Active Stabilization on the ZV-E1 work with this lens?

Yes but I don't recommend it because it's already 100mm, dynamic active will crop in even more and make it more shaky.
