You had better luck with the lens than I did. I think the heavy sturdy tripod helps alot

I think the tripod collar is a bit too far back on the lens body. if it was forward just a tad it wouldn't wiggle as much

I am thinkin of buying this lens! but, would it be bad for plane spotting due to it not having outo focus? i want to get a telephoto lens and i think the main reason is for plane spotting! and this with the low price and rewiews i think this is what i want to get. but i am not sure how well it will work for plane spotting.

Even at that screen resolution, I can see there is too much chromatic aberration for my taste. Guess I'll stick to my very old Nikon 400mm lens.

Nice shots and review, thanks! I was wondering (since I have one) how long it would be before you mention the stiff focus ring...6 mins was the answer. On people will hate the purple/green CA fringing, but there has to be a downside to such a reasonably priced lens! One of your comments was talking about is it a full frame or crop lens? Well I have the Fuji GFX mount and it’s ok for vignetting, so that clears that up.

TTArtisan will be sending me one for Fuji X mount. So far I have never shot with such a heavy and huge lens before, so I fear that my aluminum tripod won't be stable enough. Would you recommend another sort of tripod mount and if so, which one?

@@kaspermord1519 I don’t mind my Benro carbon fibre tripod, the Mach 3, with maybe a video tripod head or gimbal head. The lens will wiggle no matter your setup though, since it is a bit long and the tripod collar is too far back

Wow that is the worst chromatic aberration l have ever seen but it is great to see a lens at this price as we all have different budgets.

I love the build quality. But the jitters even in a tripod! 2 second delay isn’t enough, I have to use 10 sec delay.

Can I use it with canon r50, actually it's apsc and this lens is full frame making it more zoomed in I guess on r50, will it be even usable
