This lens is pure joy to use! It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around, but the performance is where it really shines. Sharp images, beautiful bokeh, and fantastic control over color fringing. The 75mm focal length is perfect for portraits-not as tight as 85mm but still ideal for flattering close-ups. Couldn’t be happier!

Hi Matti, not all budget lenses have good built quality, but this one gets the tick of approval. You can't ask for more for a lens at this price. I learned something new about this lens that i didn't know yesterday. Thanks Matti for keeping us up to date with the latest and greatest in the photography world. 😊.

It is always nice to see new prime Lenses, but I would like to see more new high end compact prime Lenses that do not need software to perform. The Voigtländer Nokton 75mm 1.5 Aspherical seems like a very nice Lens. Sony E-mount now have at least 275 prime Lenses for full frame Cameras and 177 prime Lenses for APSC cameras.
@mattisulanto3 ай бұрын
Software corrections are here to stay. Even Leica uses them😀 I have never counted the Sony line up but it sure looks like good enough for most photographers.
@cameraprepper79383 ай бұрын
@@mattisulanto I do not bother who use software to perform, I do not like it. About the Sony line up, I want to see more compact high end performing Lenses, there are not so many good Lenses in the Sony line up as in Nikon. It is even worse with the Sony APSC Lenses. Many Lenses for Sony, but not that many high end Lenses. But you are right for most photographers Sony have plenty of Lenses.

@@cameraprepper7938 What would be your top compact high end lenses still missing?
@cameraprepper79383 ай бұрын
@@mattisulanto Sorry, I did not get a notifications of your question. My top compact high end lens still missing is a 24mm 2.0 or 2.8, I have the Sony 24mm 1.4 GM which is the best 24mm you can get, but I will really like to have a more compact Lens, I might get a Zeiss Loxia 25mm 2.4 T* till a better one turn up. I will also like to see a top compact high end 75/80/85/90mm (60/65 and 100mm) Lens and a new improved version of the Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8 T* ZA which I have. I will also like to see a compact 135mm Lens. Collapsible Lenses could be fine, fx the Leica M 90mm Macro Lens seems to be a nice lens. I have never understand why Leica did not do as Zeiss and made Lenses for other brands mounts !

I hope that this is sign of what TTArtisans wishes their future lens designs to look like. I got used to my viltrox 27mm's aperture ring, so I wish more manufacturers considered such designs.
@mattisulanto3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I also like the design a lot and that aperture ring sure is nice.

A USB socket can get dusty, dirty, and fouled with debris. Having it on the lens can compromise the lens from use in the elements. Having it in the rear cap means it will stay in the bag, less likely to be fouled and extremely easy to replace in case of damage or failure. I see that as a clever advantage.
@mattisulanto3 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your opinion on this. Sure, anything can happen. Also that USB connector in the cap can get dirty and probably more likely than the connector in the lens because it's exposed all the time. My lenses have a cap or a body attached to them so the connector would not easily get dirty. If the connector is in the mount, that is. I have to say that the connector in my phone has never needed cleaning and that connector sees a lot of pocket lint and other less favorable things😀 But I can see your point and I guess someone at TTArtisan agrees with you because they designed it like that.

Simply replace cap with normal E-mount cap from china and usb version keep in home :)

Just received my copy. First impressions good, but the AF motor is quite noisy - might be an issue for video. The AF hunts a little on a Nikon Z6iii; not an issue for AF-S but need to do some more testing in AF-C.
@mattisulanto3 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing. I have found zero AF issues on the Sony A7IV. Interesting to hear that on the Z6III it's not quite as good.

Thanks Matti. I often have my 75mm with me when I travel. (Voightländer, Japanese) It replaces the 50mm. In practice, changing from 35 to 50 is too much of a bother. But from 35 to 75 is a big difference. My problem with Chinese lenses is that they can be marketed at prices that are impossible for other countries. This is unfair competition that will make survival of some companies I do not want to lose difficult.

I said this before - i want this as TTArtisan 35mm F2 AF lens, same price tag, same design, decent optics, same click-able aperture ring, same lens design - but a bit shorter, because a 35mm is usually smaller, and with a matching, square metal lens hood - TTArtisan ! ❤
@mattisulanto3 ай бұрын
Yeah, that would be neat. Maybe that lens is on its way😀
@marcp.17523 ай бұрын
@@mattisulanto I do hope, TTArtisan is listening. Posted that days before on their own channel. Let's hope for the best, Matti 🙂 I'd wish for a whole series - same lens design, same click-able aperture ring, say 20/2.8, 24/F2, 35/F2, 40/F2, 50/F2, 135/F2...all with decent optics, all for the same price point - for E/L/Z mount - it would sell like hot cakes! Especially for the Nikon Zf - the lens design is very nice ! And please add a rubber gasket at the bajonet mount - and make it at least a bit weather sealed. Would being perfect ! Sony E, Nikon Z & Panasonic L mount users would love it ! A cheap bag of primes, with decent optics, nice build quality lenses would sell like hotcakes - these ones ! TTArtisan should really *consider* to make a series of prime lenses like that, seriously. And finally, a consitent lens design - i own a handful of 7Artisans/TTArtisan lenses, and *every* lens does have a different design, which i really dislike into that term. And especially onto the Nikon Zf (i would love to have that one - maybe into some couple years...) TTArtisan would be king - in terms of value, price to performance ratio, because Sigma doesn't bring their nice (albeit way more expensive) i-Series DG GN of prime lenses to Nikon Z mount, yet. ❤
