These LRVs have the unit numbers from the former New Flyer D40HF buses. I think the reason why we don't see the Bombardier Flexity Freedom trains travel fast is because their speed is about 20 km less between Leslie & Kennedy but I do believe they would only travel faster underground between Leslie & Mt. Dennis & later Renforth Station. Maybe in the future the Alstom Citadis Spirit LRVs can also be assigned to Line 5 as not to be a Bombardier Flexity Freedom exclusive line. It's good to have some vehicular variety on a single route.

Scheduled for “sometime in 2023” so I’d guess probably the latter half of the year. There’s already a lot of track and a few stop platforms starting to go in, but there are a few key areas where bridges are involved that still have some work; and of course the main underground stations at Humber College and Finch West subway still have a lot of work to be done.
