The time has finally come to see if I have solved my valve float issue that I saw with my TTE710 by upgrading to the TTE810! Once I performed some logs on the street and saw that things looked significantly better, it was time for me to put the TTE810 to the test. I headed back to Racing Greed to compare how the TTE810 performed on IE's Stage 3+ E70 tune VS how the TTE710 performed on IE's Stage 3+ E70 tune VS how the stock turbo performed on IE's Stage 2 E70 tune. I'd say the results were pretty damn incredible!

@@VancityAudi it's getting harder and harder for me to not go to the TTE700 on the RS3. Adding Turbo+downpipe+injectors+tuning+install is a hefty price tag though.

Just from my initial driving impressions, logs, and dyno results, I'd recommend the 810 over the 710 if you haven't purchased the turbo yet.

@@VancityAudi honestly main reason I’m going 710 over 810 is my shop has a 710 already but an 810 would be delayed for a while and I don’t really wanna spend the extra 2k usd in rs7 injectors and turbo price difference but I do 100% plan In the future to upgrade after I’ve had my fun and I’m still sticking with the platform!

I’m curious if the 5w-40 could be affecting the turbo spool on the lower rpms. Did TTE design the 710/810 to be used with the thinner 0w-20 oil so it’ll spool quicker with less resistance? What oil is @need4built running?

I’m running 5w-40 also. The exhaust gases spin the turbine. I think Adam will get to the bottom of this soon. Either way he clearly made more power and that graph is CLEAN. Interesting to see the spool difference. I can attest the dyno graph showing the turbo spool is the same as it is on the road in my SQ5. The only difference between Adam’s S4 and my SQ5 is I have a catless downpipe and he has IE’s HFC downpipe.

@@Need4Built I understand the exhaust gases spin the turbo haha but these turbos use journal bearings which have oil feed lines apposed to ball bearings. Was thinking a thicker oil being fed to the journal bearing would cause slower spool over a thinner viscosity but if your running 5w40 then that’s definitely not the issue here! And Adam did show in his TTE810 install video that the IE HFC did have something going on with it so I’m curious if he got that taken care of. Personally I’d just gut the honeycomb out of the IE HFC and run a mini cat I’m catless on my 18 S5 and absolutely love the sound and aroma. Was also wondering if rocker arms could be at fault here as well, not sure if you or Adam have the updated rocker arms from August of 2019+

@Dayton Corl as for the oil spec causing lag. Absolutely not. As for the slightly failed catted downpipe, I highly doubt that is the issue as well. It barely looks any different than it did when stock. Regardless though, IE has warrantied it and I'll be replacing my downpipe in the upcoming videos. We have our ideas on what could be the cause of the lag and I'll be making a video on the attempt to fix it.

I wonder if the down pipe being damaged is causing the spool issue or had that been addressed???

I doubt that would cause an issue with spool? Not sure.. The only difference between Adam’s S4, and my SQ5 is I have a catless downpipe and he has IE’s HFC downpipe.

We highly doubt the slightly damaged cat made any difference at all with the spool. Regardless though, IE has warrantied the downpipe and we'll be replacing it soon. We already have a few things planned to try and fix the lag issue

93 octane dyno results will be coming soon. As for the gearbox lasting, I predict a very long time. Same transmission that the RS6 has, and they make even more torque than mine car does when tuned.

I am looking into the 710, but I can only run pump gas where I live. What type of power would you estimate I would be making? Same as what IE states? Also would you say it is safe to daily drive a 710 or even 810 granted I do proper maintainence?

Stop looking at the crank horsepower and compare the wheel horsepower. Their claims are as follows: 642whp & 613lb/ft for IE and 648whp & 615lb/ft for 034. Virtually identical results. All 034 is doing is claiming a higher drivetrain loss than IE, so all their marketing makes it look like they make more power than IE does. They claim roughly 18-19% drivetrain loss where IE claims 15%. Just another reason I tell people to stop basing their buying decisions off of stupid dyno results.

@Vivan Bhathena I put in fresh OEM plugs when I upgraded the turbo. They come pre-gapped if I remember correctly. I have used Motul X-CESS 5W40 since day one.

@@VancityAudi someone asked that on 034’s last live stream and they said that all they do is use stock drivetrain loss…they use the bone stock baseline whp and compare it up against the factory crank hp claims from Audi…then just use that same percentage.

Nope. As soon as I increased the load by doing a 5th gear dyno pull or a 4th gear pull on the street, it spooled quicker.

I remember when tuning a car was actually a tuning, these new cars all uses same turbos, same injectors, same fuel, same drivetrain, same ecu maps, and everyone has, what a surprise, same hp. All you need is bunch of money and lots of plug and play parts. It's easy to be quick these days. 🤔

@@VancityAudi there will always be someone quicker. Always. I'm just thinking how much effort was needed 10 years ago to make a 10 sec car. Today, all you need is bunch of money and zero effort, everything is pretty much plug and play. Ah, technology advanced im affraid.

@@GocaKresic Well there actually isn't anyone quicker when you're the quickest in the world on your particular platform which is the only thing I compare my success with. The only B9 in the world quicker than me is Integrated Engineering's shop car. I'm going to try my best to best their times this Spring and be the quickest B9 in the Spring before someone else goes even quicker. I do agree with 10 second cars being easy to come by though. My RS3 requires E85, a turbo inlet and a tune to run 10's. Some platforms can run 9's now with a downpipe, E85 and a tune these days. It's insane.

You started the dynorun from the SQ5 in much lower rpm than you did with the S4, therefore it can not be compared. Start the dynorun at 1500rpm.

That's not correct. As I mentioned in the video, the calculation for the tire size from one car to another (17" vs 22" wheels & tires) made it appear like the graphs were in the wrong place. If you moved the SQ5 graph over to the right where it should be, so it lined up with the same calibration that the S4 had, they start in roughly the same place.

You're looking at the crank horsepower. Change the reading on their website to read power at the wheels. That's what I'm showing here.

That's the torque figure. It was 635 WHEEL horsepower. So close to 700hp.

Because it is a closer representation of what the tuning companies advertise their cars make for power on their websites. Most people understand that better. If you want the Mustang uncorrected numbers remove 15%.
