i hope there is a chase scene with the 3d back ground! i love when the background is twisting and turning when characters are running! it makes it feel more alive and intense for me :D and looks fun too!

2D and 3D integration really should be utilized more-- gives the animation a uniqueness and is easier overall. Can't wait to see more!

Oh yea! There's so much room for experimenting with this sort of hybrid of media and the fact it saves time painting loads of bgs is pretty big plus too aha. I'm looking forward to using this style more in the future!

With the grass are you able to render it in layers? It might help to avoid clipping :)

There is a layer option but I don't think it works with terrain tools. This grass has been rendered as a texture so I could possibly see how it works as a mesh and mess around with it's materials. There should be a dithering option to make the clipping not as obvious I think.
