What happens physically (specifically) to the ovaries and sperm storage in queens prepared for swarm vs a laying queen. Has anyone ever tested re-insemination on a mated (previously proven layer) queen that is on a laying pause in prep for swarming. Is it possible these queens are actually ABLE to mate again at this point and restock sperm levels.

We should send you some queens to test from Australia where thank god varroa mites arnt present yet. I would be willing to send some queens if it helps
