My kit is different than yours. Not nearly as good. No instructions but I’m not complaining. The new piston has an arrow cast into its top. I think I recall the arrow points towards exhaust, is that correct? Also I pulled out my rocker shafts and arms to remove cam. You’re right. It’s difficult. Several things you mention but didn’t go into detail about (valve lash for example) can be found other places on the net I guess. A good video that was helpful. Thanks for posting.

My daughters 06 ttr125 seems to have very little compression. We can get it started by push starting it and electric start (intermittently) kicking it barely does anything. We are starting with the less expensive stuff (carb & valves) first but if it ends up needing a piston I think we will give it an upgrade!

Yeah when I priced out machine work for the head and new Picton s and gasket kit it was less than $100 more to just do this kit. I love it now too. It's got tons of pep

I had a ybr which uses the same engine and the values never moved a bit in 15k miles. The piston rings ended up.melting from too high revs for too long but thats a separate issue. If you don't constantly thrash the engine on this and change the oil regularly it will last forever.

How much harder was your kick start over stock. Bought a non running ttr with this kit and the kick start seems like its almost binding but pulling the plug out it feels free. Timing issue maybe??

Kit instructions say that a larger main jetbis included, my kit did not have it included. Did yours? I had to order separate. Also, good video man.

Mine did not come with the jets. If I would have read the instructions and noticed that I would have called them haha

My buddy and I just got it done rebuild and then only last thing is we cannot get it start at all. The only thing what we didn't change is the rocker arms due too wide to fits than the original manufacturer one. So we end up use the original arms while changed the cam shaft. So my friend believe it the timing issue to turn 180 degree around or need to upgrade carburetor jet? The spark plug definitely spark and tried roll start not hear a single pop. So any idea what am I missing?

they have the ttre wich has electric start and a battery and it came out in 2003 then theres the ttr l wich is big wheel and ttr le then just the normal ttr

If you are going to big bore your ttr125 don't spend 400 on the Amazon version eBay sells it for around 150 I'll post a video when my ebay one is delivered

Stock carb with bigger jets. BBR had a chart on there websute that tells you how to jet it depending on the kit you use

@@decentgarage Nice, I’m lookin at the 150 kit right now and I’m running it by my dad (old bike mechanic) and we were both talkin about it needing a whole new carb or just jets… would you say I can keep the stock main jet but get a new pilot?

@@prettyflywhiteguy1005 check on BBR's website. They have a chart for jetting. You don't need a whole new carb. I was worried about that too but stock carb with proper jets runs great. It's also worth nothing that im at 4500 feet elevation
