As someone who's had a near fatal concussion before, I completely agree. The EMT was asking me what day is was, where we were, and my birthday. All I could audibly say was "What?" Repeatedly, after the third, "What?" I just remember being carted out to the hospital. I still to this day can't remember any immediate moment before that hit to my head, all I can remember is opening my eyes about 20ish minutes later with everybody standing over me worried, including my mother who wasnt even there before it happened. One of the toughest aspects in this is Tua’s age. It’s not easy, but quite a bit easier for someone in their 30’s to give up something they love vs. someone in their prime that has such a high level of talent. He knows he could have a superbowl ring or that potential in his mind and to give up that at 26 years old is no joke. I think the decision just becomes so much easier the older you are to place life over career.

Cam knows the results of long term in the nfl. He did right, made his money and got out with his health intact. Others that dont follow suit wont be so fortunate

I'm dying watching Cam Newton do a spin, a little jig, then turn into the camera with crazy ass dreads and a bowtie on a popped collar shirt under a football jersey wearing a leather jacket and go "I'm in my right mind"

As a quarterback and running with a head leading slide… expect to get severe injuries. You’re asking for it. Quarterbacks are not meant to be running first of all. Second if you want to scramble or run for a 1st down, at least slide leg first.

Well Tua is coming back to win a super bowl. It’s usually the same people who were mad about Tua getting paid is the same one saying he should retire . Players get concussed and still play . It’s common .

Guaranteed 60m for me would easily = retirement. Why continue to risk it after multiple concussions? I wouldnt..

Cam could probably do stand up honestly. The concussion protocol questions could be a bit. It was funny !
