Great video as always. Funny enough, I actually had a Z game on this map in T1. And yes, you are right Sturm not only busts the Cap phase but also the FTA on this map. For example, as P2 you send your "Fred" to the left to start on that chain, because the neutral base is within one turn of the mountain base. This also applies to P1 as well because if P1 is Sturm and you pick anyone else, Sturm gets the base on day 3, same as P2.

Also, for those who don't know "Fred" refers to the starting infantry that P2 gets. Go7 TM

Could you explain why Rachel isn't worth mentioning? Is it because she is not viable if the map has 3 bases?

Generally, yeah. One of the main benefits of Rachel is that you get strong infantry repair, which is helpful especially in base-lite when you need to keep your unit count up. Additionally, 3 bases allows more infantry total which allows Rachel’s opponent to more easily cluster infantry to soak the missiles. So generally you don’t see a lot of Rachel outside 2 base maps.

Sami wasn't banned when I was playing it on Global League for T4. How good Sami would be if she wasn't banned T4 or picked in T3?

i did a practice game where i tried out an opener with sami. i think sami is definitely viable because the extra transport movement unlocks some new opener possibilities. with sami you have to play very aggressively with the comm towers (ideally getting 3 by the midgame) and the game is going to look very different than with a more standard CO matchup

31:24 small thing, but Sami is allowed in the tier, just mostly neglected in the high levels I've seen. It's one of the maps where she has some ideas, be it the capture pressure on towers, strong transport play and corner inf fighting, but everything else felt too much to overcome the other picks in theory. Would be interesting to see someone try her out, never got t4 here to do so myself and I'd likely end up defaulting to something else in all honesty 😅

oh you're right, i wonder why i thought she was banned. i actually think sami could be interesting to try on this map considering how good tcopters are
