Many thanks indeed to John Dodds for recording and uploading Tuba Skinny at Newport. Top-class, lovely performance. And I’m amazed by their logistics: they played in Brittany, France last Friday and were on stage in Newport already on Sunday morning, barely 36 hours later. Seems like they have a good road manager! And then to perform at Newport of all places after sporadic sleep and jetlag is amazing. I discovered Tuba Skinny by accident last year while looking for some old Acker Bilk material and have been trawling KZbin ever since. It’s well-worth looking back at some of their original gigs from 2009 and onwards, especially with Ewan Bleach and Jonathan Doyle. I’ve counted nine tunes posted so far by John from Newport. Are there any more to come? And apart from the first and last tunes, it would be nice to know in which order they were played. I’ve found the following so far: Them Things Got Me (opening number) The Mighty Anchor I’m Blue and Lonesome Any Old Time Pyramid Strut When They Ring Those Golden Bells Broken Hearted Blues Hot Town Security (closing number) Can anyone help with the order they were played?
