@@RaoulDuke504RC I may be wrong, Randy, but I think the whole instrument in this form is called a tipped-bell clarinet, or saxonette. I believe they were fashionable in the 1910s. And Alphonse Picou used to play one. This is not the first time James has been seen playing such an instrument. Perhaps he is trying to revive it. Maybe it also enables the player to hear himself better.

Reading the differing comments on clarinet players, I am wondering whether James Evans is there as a dep, or whether Craig is no longer in the band. We can't draw that conclusion from one video; musicians get sick, have other commitments, etc, etc. As to their relevant merits, James is a wonderful and accomplished player, but maybe plays too much for the TubaSkinny style; for me Craig often makes me laugh out loud with the surprises he comes up with; a real original and a follower of Pee Wee Russell
